A Future Football Star
1. A Future Football Star
by Zakhar Sukhorukov, Form 9
Project Supervisor – Bogdanova G.V.
2. An 8 Year-old Hero
Hello! My name is Zakhar
Sukhorukov. I am 16. I would like to
tell about a person I admire. This is my
younger brother Egor. He is only 8 but
he has already won the fame of a
talented and promising football player
in our region. Playing for our local
football team “Vorskla”, Egor has
become known as one of the best
forward players among sportsmen of
his age.
3. How It All Started
First of all, let me tell you how it
all started. Egor was born on 29
May, 2005. Since early childhood
he has been interested in sports,
especially football. He used to
put on my football socks and
boots, and played my ball. I got
crazy about it and we often
fought, and our mum used to
punish us both. Who knew that
some years later he would grow
into a real football player?
4. Trainings, Trainings, Trainings…
Egor started attending our local
sports centre at the age of 6. He
practiced hard every day. His coach
said that he has got bright future
since his ability to score goals is
amazing.
He wants to look like such world
football idols as Cristiano Ronaldo,
Fernando Torres, Igor Akinfeev
and Andrey Arshavin.
5. We Are the Champions!
Egor and his team take part in many football competitions held in Belgorodskaya oblast.
They beat their rivals easily and are always ready for new victories. Do you know their
secret? They are hardworking, united and persistent. They are real friends!
6. Looking Forward to New Victories…
In December 2012 Egor took part in the
final futsal competitions of the Open Cup
among “Pampers League” teams. The
competitions took place in Saint Petersburg
with 6 teams participating. Egor and nine
other kids were playing as part of a picked
football team which was based on juvenile
sports club “Raduga”. However, they
managed to become the runners-up in the
competition. With 19 goals scored Egor
was nominated “the leader of attacks” and
the best player of the final Cup tournament
of 2012.
In January 2013 “Raduga” took part in one
more football tournament in Gatchina,
Leningradskaya Oblast. This time the team
came fifth.
7. The Harder the Battle
the Sweeter the Victory
(Pierre De Coubertin)
Egor is always busy. He happened to visit
many towns and cities of our country and
he is not going to stop. The boundaries of
his football routes are expanding. This
spring his team participated in football
championship in Minsk, Belorussia. I think
that very soon such football empires as
France, Spain, Germany, England, Portugal
and Brazil will learn about their
achievements. Maybe, the 21st World
Football Championship in Russia in 2018
will be a new step in conquesting new
football tops.
Thank you!
