Registrations drop sharply after new Companies Act comes into force, the number of new companies registered in India between April and August has more than halved from the same period last year following the passage of the Companies Act, 2013, which was aimed at overhauling a 57-year-old law to make it more relevant and contemporary.
The NDA government has voted out three remaining independent directors of Coal India's board. With three other directors having already resigned in the last 15 days, there are no independent directors in the company at present.
Buoyed by improved sentiment in domestic automobile market, Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest car maker, has scaled up its projection for growth in cars sales this financial year.
