Long shot and panning shot - man murdering a student in
school, student screams (sfx) as she is being murdered. "

CUT TO:"

EXT. KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – DAY 08:10!
!
Mid shot to long shot - MARY walking into the entrance of
the school."

CUT TO:"

INT. KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – DAY 09:00!

MARY walks down the hallway into her classroom and sits
down."

DISSOLVE TO:"

INT. KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – DAY 12:30!

POV shot – bell rings for lunch, Mary goes to the canteen
to find a place to sit down. A group of students gesture
her to come sit with them. "

EVAN"
Hey, you’re Mary, the new student right? "

Over the shoulder shot – behind EVAN of MARY"

MARY"
Yeah, I am. "

I’d love to, thanks. "

MARY sits down and starts to chat and eat her lunch with
her new friends. "
CUT TO:"

INT. KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – CLASSROOM – DAY – 13:30 !
Mid shot – MARY and LUCY working in a free lesson when the
lights suddenly switches off."
!
MARY "
What was that? "
!
LUCY "
Oh, probably just a wire got detached or something…"
!
LUCY goes to switch on the lights."
!
Suddenly MARY’s laptop turns off."
!
MARY "
Woah, even my laptop switched off…"
!
Depth of field shot - MARY and NICK went to the gym to get
some equipment when suddenly the door slams shut and both
characters jump."

MARY"
Weird things keep happening… almost as if a spirit is
visiting us… "
!
NICK"
Hey, what’s the date today? "
!
MARY "
Uh… the 27th of October… why? "
!
EVAN whispers to himself."
!
EVAN"
Oh… it must be KAREN…"
!
EVAN then speaks normally."

Don't worry about it. "

MARY"
KAREN? Who’s KAREN?"
!
EVAN drags MARY out of the gym – out of frame."
DISSOLVE TO:"
!
INT. KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – CANTEEN – DAY 12:30!
Everyone gathers around lunchtime and EVAN starts to tells
MARY about KAREN."
!
EVAN "
In the 60’s there was a girl called KAREN and she was
murdered one night at our school. The school hired
investigator after investigator but were still unable to
find out who the murderer was… "
!
CHLOE"
A few years past where the school remained peaceful until
one year things started to happen..."
!
LUCY "
Every school year without fail on the week of the 25th of
October, KAREN always comes back to “haunt” the school…"
!
MARY"
Wha-"
!
EVAN"
I know it sounds creepy but really she’s harmless, all she
does is just closes doors or plays with the electrical
circuits but she’s never done anything harmful to harm
people."
!
CUT TO:"
!
INT. MARY’S APARTMENT – NIGHT – 22:00 !
MARY invites her friends over to hang out and play some
games; they are in the middle of playing truth or dare.
EVAN spins the bottle and it lands on MARY."
!
EVAN"
Oh! MARY! Truth or dare? "
!

MARY "
Hmm… I’m feeling brave tonight, dare!"
!
CHLOE "
Okay! Dare right? I dare you to go to the toilet and do the
“ritual” to wake KAREN up. "
!
LUCY whispers into MARY’s ear."
!
LUCY"
Don’t worry; it’s just a myth. It has never worked before,
besides, even if she did wake up she’s harmless. "
"
MARY "
Sure, but you’ll have to teach me the ritual. "
!
CHLOE gets up and pulls MARY with her to the toilet. "
!
Flash forward to MARY finishing the ritual and the girls go
back to sit down with the rest of group. "
!
NICK"
She did it? "
!
CHLOE "
Yeah she did! "
!
LUCY whispers to MARY while the rest of the group decide
who is next."
LUCY"
See? I told you it wasn’t so bad. "
!
MARY smiles at LUCY."
MARY"
Thanks Lucy. "
!
MARY says good night to her friends as they are leaving and
gets ready for bed. When she goes to sleep, she starts to
dream. "
!
She begins to dream about her being on the computer at
school, communicating with KAREN who assigns her a
‘mission’ in order to gain revenge. However, in reality
what MARY doesn’t know is that KAREN has used the dream to
hallucinate MARY."
!

The next day MARY goes to school and switches on the
computer, which connects to the “Karen Network”, awakening
the spirit of KAREN. "
!
MARY becomes possessed by KAREN when using the computer
under the KAREN network and begins to go on a killing spree
every other time she’s connected to that Wi-Fi router.
