3. Properties
v High increase in ductility
v High capacity of energy dissipation
v High reliability of the system
v High resistance to high temperatures
v Redistribution of stresses in the structure
v Excellent fire resistance
v High durability
v Ease of handling
v Easy application even on rough and irregular
surfaces
4. Application methods
Remove the pre-existing plaster
Remove the protective surface treatments
Removal of any non-adhering parts
Regularization of the substrate
5. Preparation of the product
C-MX Gold 25 used for the preparation
7liters (1.84gal) of water to
25kg (55.12lbs) material
Mixing C-MX Gold 25 with 90% of water, continues for
at least 3 minutes until you have a homogeneous mortar
paste, if necessary add the rest of water
Cut C-Mesh Gold 84/84 with normal scissors
7. Product application
1) Apply the first layer of mortar with a trowel on the
structure surface with a thickness of 3 to 4 mm
(0.118 to 0.157 in.).
8. Product application
2) Lay the pre-cut fiber mesh with the appropriate
fiber orientation on top of the first mortar layer
and press lightly with bottom of trowel to embed
the mesh into the mortar. Do not press too hard
9. Product application
3) Add a second layer of the mortar with the trowel
to cover the fiber mesh with a thickness of 3 to 4
mm (0.118 to 0.157 in.)
If two or more layers of fiber mesh are
required, apply each additional layer as
soon as the previous layer of mortar
starts to dry a little
10. Product application (overlap)
Overlap min. 100 mm
At the junction points, provide an
overlap of the mesh of min.100mm
The mesh must be applied when the
mortar on the surface is still wet
Then continue application as normal
11. Product application (stop working temporarily)
If you need to stop working
temporarily (e.g. at lunchtime), stop
before applying the mortar, i.e., leave
the mesh uncovered until you return to
work. Then continue application as
normal
Do not apply mortar
Uncovered mesh
