2. Introduction
 An experienced financial executive, Peter
Culpepper has worked with high-growth startups
and nonprofits in a wide range of industries. Peter
Culpepper now serves as the interim CEO, chief
operating officer, and chief financial officer for
Provectus Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., which
develops dermatology and oncology therapies.
In a recent press release, Provectus announced
that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
awarded the company a patent that expands the
protection of a manufacturing process covered by
a previously conferred patent.

3. Provectus Biopharmaceuticals
 The new patent covers the use of a different raw
material to create the active ingredient in PV-10,
Provectus’ investigational cancer therapy.
With the new patent, Provectus will receive at
least 15 years of coverage that will further defend
the company’s proposed commercial method for
making PV-10, a treatment that could reduce
systemic side effects by being directly injected in
solid tumors. Provectus has been working with
scientists from Cambrex Charles City to develop
the process patent and help the treatment reach
the market.
