Pasco Youth Initiative (PYI) announcement: Our youth and family community-based program received a grant from Target Corporation (NYSE: TGT). The grant will help support PYI's 1rst Annual Summit and future growth in Tampa Bay.
The purpose of the Pasco Youth Initiative (PYI) is to identify barriers that young people face on their road to self-sufficiency and put solutions in place to ensure the success of our future workforce.
PYI was created in November 2013 as a result of discussions between Hernando Youth Initiative (HYI), Pasco Economic Development Center and Pasco/Hernando Workforce Board’s Youth Committee. We are a team of youth advocates working together for the benefit of Pasco County youth and families with a vision for a better future. We work to understand local issues and challenges, take action to make a difference, engage community members in initiatives and meet monthly to manage activities (1st Wednesday, 10-11:30am, Rasmussen College Land O’ Lakes campus).
