Becoming accustomed to sin

1. Approving Sin By Allowing Sin
“Truly ye bear witness that ye allow the deeds of your
fathers: for they indeed killed them, and ye build
their sepulchres.” (Luke 11:48 KJV).
“In fact, you bear witness that you approve the deeds
of your fathers; for they indeed killed them, and you
build their tombs.” (Luke 11:48 NKJV).
Suneudokeo {soon-yoo-dok-eh'-o}
to think well of in common, i.e. assent to, feel gratified
with: allow, assent, be pleased, have pleasure.
POINT: Allowing & Approving are used interchangeably
and it shows that when we ALLOW sin, we actually
APPROVE of sin!!!

2. Approving Sin By Allowing Sin
“Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which
commit such things are worthy of death, not only do
the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.”
(Romans 1:32 KJV).
“Who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that
those who practice such things are deserving of
death, not only do the same but also approve of
those who practice them.” (Romans 1:32 NKJV).

4. Approving Sin By Allowing Sin
• Sexual Immorality (Rom. 1:29; Heb. 13:4)
– Divorce Mate For Unscriptural Reasons
– Fellowship Adulterers or Adulteresses
– Sex Education & Gov’t Supplied “Protection”
• Murder (Rom. 1:29)
– Abortion, Euthanasia
• Lasciviousness, Lewdness (Gal. 5:19)
– Dancing, Immodest Dress, Shameful Conduct
• Drunkenness (Rom. 1:31; 1 Pet. 4:3)
– Serve It, Profit From It, Call It “Social Drinking”
• Forsake Assembly (Heb. 10:25)
– Allow Children To Forsake, Recreation, Vacation
• Undiscerning (Rom. 1:31)

5. God Is Holy
“But as He who called you is holy, you
also be holy in all your conduct,
because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I
am holy.’” (1 Pet. 1:15-16).
“Test all things; hold fast what is
good. Abstain from every form of
evil.”
(1 Thess. 5:21-22).
