Karand Pandya submitted a paper on Queer Theory to Smt. S. B. Gardi of the English Department at Bhavnagar University. The paper discusses that Queer Theory emerged in the early 1990s as a branch of critical theory focused on LGBT identities. It aims to demonstrate how heterosexuality has been considered the norm while homosexuality was seen as a deviance, and argues that homosexuals should not be treated as immoral or criminals as homosexuality is a social construct. Queer Theory also seeks to redefine sexual identities and argue that everyone has the right to choose their partner regardless of sexual orientation.
