Productivity on the Go is the ultimate goal - to help you efficiently and profitably manage your service department!
So lets take a look: I am going to focus on four major features:
(1) scheduling and dispatching employees;
(2) tracking time and products used;
(3) customized signoff worksheets;
(4) measuring efficiency and profitability
So while everything I showed you is available with the release of Odoo version 14, I did want to point out in a little more detail exactly what we added:
First, you will notice we now show the DATE and TIME of each Task (or Job) on the Map View popup - a helpful addition to the information you need to quickly schedule visits.
We can also now use group bys in the map view - perfect to see the tasks or jobs by worker, for instance. This helps check that jobs are clustered into groups that are easily managed by a single employee.
Next, a new TOTAL LINE breaks down the count of jobs by MORNING and AFTERNOON - in the GANTT View - so you can quickly see where jobs may need to be reshuffled. This helps make sure jobs are evenly distributed and that the chance of missing the appointment windows you promised customers is low.
The Form View now looks more like a Project Task.
Starting from the top of the form, moving down:
Tasks now move from NEW to DONE via a clickable status bard at the top. Everyone can quickly see the current status of the job.
At the bottom of the User Screen, you can see that a DEFAULT WAREHOUSE can be set - this determines how replenishment rules help users make sure inventory is moved to the correct van or truck at the start of the day.
For managers, this helps you know who has what and minimizes the chance of losing goods.
Products with Lots and Serials now require the entry of that information when used during a visit, so you have a record of which units are in the field to help validate warranty coverage and help with recalls.
Finally, If typing the number of products used is faster than clicking the PLUS icon a number of times, this is now possible, saving you clicks and time!

Roadmap: we are thinking about an integration between Field Services and Online Appointment and Subscriptions in v.15. We have to be very cautious when speaking about this, because we cannot promise anything. It may or may or not happen.
