Removable keyboard enhances that portability, should it be unneeded for the situation. 4. Keyboard has 60 hours of active battery life, more than enough to get through busy days of court, mediation, and meeting with clients.

- Its small and lightweight form in comparison to other keyboards allow for even easier storage and portability. You can, however, distract people with how technologically impressive this gadget is.
- Its ease of installation – simply slotting it over the iPad’s speaker – allows for even the most technologically incompetent people to use properly. The improved sound quality provides clarity for any evidence in audio format that needs to be presented, as well as for client correspondence and conference calls.
- The ability to eliminate unwanted background noises further improves clarity, preventing mistakes from being made due to misheard or muffled sounds. Transcripts may no longer be necessary for any correspondence with clients or witnesses when a clear, reliable audio file is present.
- The Square Reader allows for an easier way to retain clients using the iPad, providing them the option to pay via credit card with only a 2.75% fee for the use of the service. This also provides, in a way, access to justice, as it makes credit card as a method of payment more widespread, and thus those who are unable to pay for the retainer agreement upfront on their own are able to do so through their credit cards. As well, this provides a clear paper trail for legal professionals in terms of their handling of payments.
- The scanner, though small, requires an AC adapter for power, making it not as portable as one would like when bringing it to courtrooms or mediation. The speed of the scanner in copying the documents into an image and the fact that it uploads that image directly to your tablet allows the transfer of files to be less complicated, especially with the gradual move from paper to digital in the legal field.
- Presenting evidence through images and videos is made easier and more convenient as there is no need to make use of court-provided equipment to do so. As such, there is no more worry over compatibility issues between the device and the court’s projector. Simply bring your own projector. Without the hassle of cables and display ports, it is also quicker to set up, helping the expediency of, say, a trial.
