1. RANGE OF STORIES:
OCR has 6 stories whereas we only
have 3.
The reason our bulletin is longer even
though there are only 3 stories is
because ours are more in detail with
vox-pops and also the interviews are
lengthened.
Our story is widely ranged
going from Politics to the
Oscars whereas the OCR one
goes from Politics to more
politics to women being better
drivers than men.
2. CONTENT:
For the Oscars story we
used vox-pops to show
different peoples
opinions on the Oscars
and who they thought
should have won. This
made our audience the
younger
generation, students, w
ho tended to be female
but we did get a male
opinion in there too!
Alex Wild was our
specialist reporter
who interviewed
Keef Lawrence
the owner of
Whittles Rock
Pub. We used a
specialist reporter
so it fitted in with
real radio stations
because that is
what they usually
contain
3. Production
Values
In our bulletin we contained some
background noise in our Whittles interview
of the pub music just to give it the feel that
we were in a different which was similar to
the OCR bulletin which maintained a
presenter voice starting the stories and at
some points would play a clip of someone
being interviewed outside or something
just to give it some authenticity.
Both interviews are at
good sound levels
therefore it gives both
bulletins a smooth
fluency and doesn’t
detract the listener away
from what is being said
The editing done on both
bulletins is good because
there is no point where
there are severe breaks or
mistakes. On our own
bulletin there are a few
‘um’s’ and ‘errs’ but they
don’t make a huge negative
impact so it isn’t that bad.
