8. 8
We are all made up of
MIND + BODY
When there is birth,
there will be
growth, ageing,
sickness and death.
9. 9
Upon death, the spirit or soul leaves the body. The body
will decay and disintegrate into the 4 Elements.
The Soul/Spirit/Mind survives and leaves on.
So wise ones prepare the spirit/soul/mind for the afterlife.
14. 14
To prepare for the inevitable happening of ageing,
sickness and death, wise ones practice
ardently, diligently and mindfully
THE NOBLE 8-FOLD PATH
from the earliest age possible.
In this way, their minds will be more calm, happy and
peaceful as life continues on and on
until Enlightenment is attained.
