I've learned that one shouldn't compare himself to
others… it can give stress.
It’s wise to just do one’s best.
Mental happiness surpasses any
worldly material success.
精神上的幸福胜过任何
世俗的物质上的成功。
我了解到，一个人不应该将自己与他人比较…
它会带来压力。 尽力而为是明智的。

I've learned that it's not what happens to people
that's important. It's what they do about it.
我知道这不是发生在人们身
上的事这很重要。
他们就是这样做的。
With Dhamma Wisdom we can respond
to any matter much better..
有了佛法智慧，我们可以回应对任何事情
都好得多。

I've learned that Dhamma learning helps one to
think more clearly and wisely.
我已经学会了佛法学习帮
助人们更清晰、
更明智地思考。
With Right View and Right Thought, one
would not do evil actions through the body
and the speech.
以正见正念，不以身语作恶业。

I've learned that a positive mind will keep one going
amidst obstacles and challenges.
我了解到，积极的心态
会让一个人继续前进在
障碍和挑战中
When the mind is developed to grow in calmness,
clarity and wisdom, it can face better
the many challenges of life.
当心发展为平静、清晰和智慧时，
它就能很好地面对生活中的许多挑战。

I've learned that we are
responsible for our thoughts,
speech and actions. Hence we
must always be mindful.
我了解到，我们要对自己的思
想、言语和行为负责。
因此，我们必须时刻保持正念。
Intentional actions of the body, speech and mind
have their kammic consequences.
(Kamma-Vipaka)
Refrain from doing any unwholesome actions.
身、语、意的有意行为有其业果（Kamma-Vipaka）。
避免做任何不善的行为。

I've learned that spiritual friendship helps one to grow in his mind
development as he walks the Noble Eightfold Path.
我了解到，当他走八正道时，
精神友谊有助于他的思想发展。
Success in walking the Path to end suffering
depends on the Kalyanamitta, the spiritual
companion and guide.
走上灭苦之道的成功取决于精神伴侣和指导者
Kalyanamitta。

I've learned that success requires a right attitude
based on good values and virtues.
我了解到成功需要正确的态度
基于良好的价值观和美德。
Having Right View and practicing morality are
essential to attain the Goal of ending Dukkha.
拥有正见和修持戒德是达到灭苦目标的必要条件。

I've learned that
when we help and
care we should not
expect anything
in return. This is
true spirituality.
我了解到，当我们提
供帮助和关心时，
我们不应该期望任何
回报。 这是真正
的灵性
Practicing Dana or Charity will help us cut our
Ego-self, a root cause of suffering.
练习布施或慈善会帮助我们削减自我，
痛苦的根本原因。

I've learned that no matter how good a friend
someone is, they can make mistakes at times. I
must not hold this against him. I must learn to
forgive and let go.
我了解到，无论一个人是多么好的朋友，他们有时都会犯错。
我不能这样反对他。 我必须学会原谅和放手。
“To err is Human, to forgive Divine.”
Practicing forgiveness is a high spiritual deed.
“犯错是人，宽恕是神。”
练习宽恕是一种崇高的精神行为

I’ve learned that it’s very important to train my
mind to be alert, attentive, heedful and mindful.
我了解到，训练我的头脑保持警觉、专注、
细心和正念是非常重要的。
Bhavana or mental development is essential in
the quest for Enlightenment.
Bhavana 或心理发展对于寻求启蒙至关重要。

I've learned that whenever I do an unskillful deed, I have to
acknowledge it or apologize, learn from it, resolve not to
repeat the mistake and then move forward positively.
我学会了每当我做了一件不善巧的事时，我必须承认或道歉，
从中吸取教训，下定决心不再重蹈覆辙，
然后积极地前进。
Feelings of regret, remorse and guilt weaken the mind.
Learn from mistakes and do more good.
后悔、自责和内疚的感觉会削弱心灵。从错误中吸取教训，
做更多的好事。

I've learned that my
destiny lies in my
hands. What I do now
in the prevailing
circumstances will
shape my future.
我知道我的命运掌握在我
的手中。 我现在在当前

Our Life is not fated.
The future is ours to
chart. Do good and
good will follow you.
我们的人生没有命中注定。
未来是我们的图表。 做

I've learned that it takes years to build up
trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

Always be mindful of all
your actions. One
unwholesome deed can
tarnish your character.
时刻注意你的所有行为。
一件不善的行为会玷污你
的品格。

I've learned that it’s wise not to let others control the state of
my mental peace. I can choose not to react negatively.
我了解到，不要让
别人控制我的精神
平静状态是明智的。
我可以选择不做出
负面反应。
One who has practiced the Dhamma well will not let
the outside world rob him of his mental peace..
一个很好地修行佛法的人
不会让外界剥夺他的精神安宁。

I've learned that I should not weaken my
mind through fear and superstitious beliefs.
我知道我不应该削弱我的思
想通过恐惧和迷信。
May your Dhamma understanding and practice dispel
all wrong views and superstition.
愿你的佛法理解和修行消除一切邪见和迷信。

I’ve learned that it is foolish of me to cling on to worldly
things which arise and pass away.
This is the truth of impermanence.
我了解到，执
着于世俗事物
的生灭是愚蠢
的。这是无常
的真相。
Craving for and attaching to all conditioned things
which are impermanent will lead to suffering.
贪爱和执着一切无常的有为法会导致痛苦。
