characters--a cheetah, a white box and a black box as
they wait for different things in life. The film shows
different attitudes towards waiting and encourages the
audience to relate to their own experiences and memories.
Human_Nature (2012)
The film explores the relationship between humans,
nature, and technology. Sometimes it seems like we
areusing technology to conquer nature, sometimes it
seems as though technology is growing beyond our
control, and sometimes it seems to be that nothing can
ultimately triumph over nature.
A delicious film about the mischief of

THE PRECIOUS (2010)
Are you happy about growing up? Growth is an adventurous
process illustrating fully the unpredictability and
surprise of life. The tree in the animation does not
represent the whole process of growth but rather a
particular life stage—childhood. Similarly, the
red-crowned crane is not a symbol of success or gain but
merely another life stage. While you step into a new

were writers for NY5. At the time of
production, they were avid fans of BBC
Sherlock. This is the first film they
co-wrote, and they occassionally collaborate

Teachers’ Day Zombie Apocalyse was written by
NY5’s secondary 4 seniors in 2013 specifically for
the Teacher’s Day Concert. It is based on a
fictional situation where teachers are turning
into zombies and the few survivors must learn to
defend themselves. In some strange way, it is a
heartfelt thank you to all the teachers in school.
Shot and produced by Mr Mike Chang, this
production brings BBC’s Sherlock Holmes and John

of math is beginning to wreak havoc. (To be
honest, no one really wants it to come back.)
