Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place
The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's
such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates
the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of
diverse people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents
hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me because who knew that such a beautiful place
could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down
a narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway
ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on a wooden bench eating ice cream that
slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe
the elderly couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards
each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then the elderly woman's ice cream
starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning
with them. A melody ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple
and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck has a window fixtured on
its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I
notice a younger couple at the very front who

Descriptive Essay : A Place On The Beach
1. Walking home from school an old abandon house on the corner of he street always gives me
this weird feeling like im being watch. Friday night a few friends decide to go and check out the
house. After a walking a few miles the were finally there and the feeling of being watched starts to
set in a grows deeper. As were leaving, rain starts to poor like crazy and with home being a few
miles away we decide our only place to stay dry is the house. Walking into the house the first thing
we notice is the smell, as if something has died in here long ago. Boards creek from every step we
take, pitch black, and the only noise is the sound of the storm outside. To scared to go anywhere
we decide to leave not caring how wet we got. Being wet is way better then being scarred beyond
belief.
2. The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. It is the place to go to get
away from all my troubles. The one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just
staring into the blue water as the sun rays reflect off the water giving it a beautiful glow. A place
where nothing matters but what is in that little moment. Walking on the beach with a slight breeze,
cold sand, and the sound of the waves crashing creating a noise that nothing can replace. Beaches are
the perfect happy place.
3. Almost every day of the year this place is loud, crowded, and full of diversity. Black Friday, one
day of the year, a special day, the mall is one of the most chaotic places on

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
For many people there is a sweet smell, a pleasing photograph, the familiar sound of happiness
that bring them back to a place full of childhood images. In my life, I was lucky enough to have
traveled to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. I have swum with the dolphins in crystal
blue sea of Phuket Thailand and watch golden ray of the sunshine set behind mount Fuji in Japan.
However, no places earth will compare to the loveliness of my childhood paradise, a place I
called home. Barbara Kingsolver writes, "I have a place where all my stories begin," and my
story began at a lake house located on the water edge of Little Toad Lake, Minnesota. (Kingsolver
939). It is where I spent half my life with my dog (Spike), sister, mom, and dad, through the hot
summer days and freezing winter months. The house was built on the side of a steep hill leading
down to a beach front lake. The main entrance had a big double iron door which lead into the
living room overlooking the lake. The main living area had several big windows which let in a
brilliant of sunlight onto the dark walnut floor. The fireplace mantle displays a big moose head
that my dad shot on his hunting trip to Alaska (his prize possession). My favorite place of the
house would be the kitchen. That's where all my lessons of cooking started. Thank you to my mom
for teaching me the value of cooking. If it wasn't for her I would be eating ramens every day at
college. Oh, the memories we had at the lake house. In the spring, my mom, sister, and I go on long
walks in the woods to go mushroom hunting because who doesn't love free food. I remember
making mushroom soup for the first time and almost burning my hands off because I forgot to
turn the stove down to low and the pot was overflowing onto the floor. I could still remember the
facial expression on my mom's face, let just say she was not a happy camper. One summer day,
my sister and I were out fishing with my mom on the pontoon and we were catching a lot of fish
and out of nowhere it started pouring rain. My mom started the pontoon and guess what? We ran
out of gas in the middle of the lake. It took as over two hours to paddle back to shore but thank
goodness it stopped raining. To this day we still

Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place
As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a
good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me
think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought
all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The
Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and
driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a
broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere.
Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content...
Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless,
until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in
the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock
formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot
the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind
is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide
takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the
beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to
capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a
magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it.
You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy
mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many
opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting
s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will
always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for

My Favorite Place In My Home
My Favorite Place
There is a room in my home which is full of books and somewhat messy. It is my living room,
which may be not quite common. It is where I stay longest, study, and relax at home. It has
accompanied me for approximately ten years and has seen my growth. It makes every day
meaningful to me, and therefore, it is my favorite place without doubt.
My living room is different from an ordinary one. Indeed, most of common furniture of a living
room is there. There is just one thing missing. It is the television, which my family removed when
I was in senior high. However, the room also has many elements of a study, thereby it is
multifunctional and special. Stepping into the room, one can see desks for daily study, bookcases,
and shelves. Since I love books, books take up much space of the room. They flow from shelves
and bookcases to everywhere you may imagine: on the desks, in the schoolbag I bring to school, and

I can still remember the old days. I used to be fond of intelligence toys and chess games, and let the
toys and chess pieces occupy the table. I used to watch fancy cartoons or scientific educational
programs on television with curiosity. I used to read novels or popular science books on the sofa,
and sometimes I was so concentrated that I forgot about the time. So many important incidents once
happened there. The table used to be where my mother taught me basic knowledge and my first
academic tutorial took place. The starting point of my learning chemistry of senior high also took
place there when I was almost ten. Moreover, the shabby desk in the room always reminds me of the
time when I was busy preparing for the college entrance examination. Every scar on the desk is
telling a story. The pen rushing on the paper, I tried my best to improve myself through all kinds of
tests held by myself. Sweat was in my palms. The process was hard but

Essay on scary places
Over the course of my life, I have encountered many eerie locations that have given me the chills.
Despite all those fearful situations, only three places have ever successfully handicapped my
lungs from providing oxygen to my heart. I could not begin to predict the events that would occur
when I decided to visit a jail hostel, a cemetery, or a cellar. Until these visits, I have never been
frozen from head to toe, unable to conduct a move. My previous hair raising experiences are
practically nonexistent compared to my journey to The Ottawa Jail Hostel, the Garden Cemetery, or
a friend's basement cellar. To begin, the first place that is soon going to put goose bumps on my
skin is the Ottawa Jail Hostel. In order to reach the hostel I...show more content...
My curiosity leads me closer and I soon find myself inside the hostel. Once inside, the scene of a
hotel lobby jumps into view, although everything is beaten down as if a pack of wolves ran
through. To my left, a few broken remains of the front desk lay scattered on the floor. Now, this
decrepit structure sits upside down in the corner of the room. I slowly creep into the next room
which leads to a stairway. Immediately, I want to explore the upper level. Suddenly, I see a
strange shadow appearing from the corner of my eye. A loud crash leads me to believe the figure is
in the lobby. Goosebumps appear on my neck and arms as a harsh wind blows through an open
window. I scream as I run back out of the building. Panting and confused, I try to retrieve myself
from a frightened state and gain control of my body once again. Therefore, the first frightening
experience I have ever encountered happened at the Ottawa Jail Hostel. The second stop on my
haunted journey, is to Garden Cemetery. To reach the cemetery, I start to walk through a spooky
forest. This forest contains vast wisps of dead grass, fragile to a single touch. Occasional gusts of
wind forces these stands of death to dance and rustle against each other. Tall trees lean in all
different directions, with leaves no longer clinging to their branches. These dormant structures lurch
over my body, trying to hold me captive in their distorted arms. As a result, I quicken my pace and

Essay Important Place
An important place.

As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was
a particularly long and very wide street with several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread
throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the
block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers
that hung around together. I also had other family members living down the street from my house
on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met
daily after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show

It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to
trips together or while the adults wanted to come over for dinner. Unfortunately Marco moved away
with his family when we were just 6 years old. Michael and I continued to be best friends growing up
into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as
Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad time for me, but life went on and my
neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were
created and new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace
Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my time on Carondelet Street.
Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's
home. The objective was just to have a great time with great people. It was a time during the day
where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was
with their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came
straight from their jobs with some still wearing their uniform. They sat for hours into the late
evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. It didn't matter if it was a
weekday; it was all about having a great time with the people who were most

Personal Narrative Essay About A Place
After we landed we went to our host home to get freshen up because we were going out for pizza.
I thought okay this will be good, I will be able to see the city a little bit and eat something I am
familiar with. So, we get to Andy's pizza and I had to use the restroom really bad. I headed to the
bathroom and go in to the stall, the next thing I know there is a male in the bathroom with me! I
went out to the table and said "Oh my goodness! Why didn't any one warn me about the bathroom
situation!?" Sergiu, one of our host, said "What about the bathroom? It is completely normal for a
guy and a girl to be in the bathroom together."
There was a feast for breakfast every morning. I was so grateful for the abundance amount of food
because in Moldova they don't have a crazy amount of money. I knew we were greatly
appreciated for our hard work by the twenty fried eggs, full plate of bacon, full plate of pancakes,
full plate of toast, two different kinds of juice, and most importantly the full pot of coffee. All we
could say to the precious Russian cook was "spasibo", which means thank you. Wine and alcoholic

saw me as a threat and they could suck me into buying things at ridiculous prices. They realized that
I cannot speak Russian or Romanian and that I depended on a translator. At some point while I

Descriptive Essay About My Place In High School
Have you ever been in a place that at first glance does not seem like anything special, yet the more
time you spend in that place the more enjoyable it becomes? As you are going into high school
you will be taking several FACS classes. The more you know about the FACS room the better
prepared you will be for those classes. The FACS classroom at Holcomb High School is a
delightful place to be. There are three different sections that make up the FACS classroom. Starting
first with the classroom its self, where all the desks are, and where you do your textbook
assignments. The second part of the classroom is the adjoining room that is made up of the kitchens
that you learn to cook in. The last part is the small picnic area outside. As you first walk through
the door into the classroom, you will notice how large the classroom is. As you scan the room for
the first time you will see that the room has lots of pops of colors from pictures and posters on the
walls. You will see the roughly twenty– five cheap plastic desk and chairs. The walls are tan painted
cinder blocks, the paint gives the walls a smooth yet sort of bumpy texture. As you look up to the
ceiling you will see ceiling tiles, that over the years have faded and been scuffed up. Looking
down at the floor you will see that the floor is covered in well abused glued down laminate tiles.
The tiles stared as an off white and have slowly yellowed. Cabinets wrap around the room that
alternate between a pale yellow and white,

Descriptive Essay On A Walk In The Park
A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find
myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red
leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most
spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you
breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the
old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes
search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like
sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky,
which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes
over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the
spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back
of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids
playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight. Walking through the trail full of mud and
leaves always made me think about my life. It was always there when I needed to walk and get
things off my mind. Looking around watching the leaves fall off tree after tree flying like
butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately died and they were not
coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and jumped on them
like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous branches holding
hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view with the sun
shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth water
puts a joy to my face. I found a rest area with a bench and by it was a fountain. The ripple of water
and the singing that the birds formed made it peaceful to sit there and study the fountain. Just
appreciating the little things in life and realizing what all I have and have overcome is what the
park helps me

Descriptive Essay About A Happy Place In The Sea
I take a deep breath, my nostrils are filled with the pleasant aroma of the salty sea air. This is my
happy place, this is where I belong. As I sit with my freshly painted pink toes in the sand, I am
overwhelmed with all that is happening around me. To my right, there is a family of four; a mother,
father, and two little red headed girls that look like twins, laughing and jumping around, taking in the
big world around them. The children are in their bright red and purple flowered bathing suits,
running and screaming, attempting to get their toes wet in the chilly water that churns back and
forth on the shore. After a few attempts they decide to run and jump full force into the crystal clear
abyss, unaware of what creatures they could find if they dive deep enough.
To the left of me, I see an older couple, books in hand, enjoying the relaxing evening under their
bright, multicolor striped beach umbrella and green folding chairs that have palm trees sewn on the
back. The man leans over and soon enough the lady begins to laugh at what he has said. Further
down I can see a boy in blue and white striped swim trunks and his dog playing fetch near the
shore. The dog is brown with a mix of white around his back. Each time the boy throws the bouncy
blue ball, the dog is more and more eager to retrieve it for his owner. After a few throws, the next
one goes farther than the others, causing the dog to dive into the water. He seems to enjoy the way
the cool water feels on his fur

questions. At nights where they are perfect, you will spend time with friends, get to have fun and
start new memories with them. Now you're probably wondering what this very spot5 is well, I am
going to share it with you based on the spectacular memories I have created here. Its filled with
wonderful sounds at every half hour. These sounds are like the wonderful noises that birds make to
one another. Not only is the music so peaceful, but the way that it repeats its same beat just puts a
smile on my face. The beat of the music may be songful to the ear but a reason as to why I chose
this was because it lets me know what time it is in the day. It is also a reminder to me that I should
be somewhere in a couple minutes. The reminder is a special aspect of why I wanted to share this
place with you because it can help you be productive in your everyday life. For example, this helps
me know that as the wonderful beat plays it is quarter to the hour and that I have to be somewhere in

Essay on Places I Have Lived
I have opinions of all the places I have lived. Each place has its advantages and disadvantages, and I
am not sure if there is any place that really fits me well. In this essay, I will examine the bad and
good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal"
conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place
that I think is best for me.
I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it

But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants
and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has

natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem,
there was not much pollution either. I like this because it was easier to keep healthy.
Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all
so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is
nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to visit,
lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons,
but I think life here is just much more exciting.
I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late
night. However I do parties because sometime I get lonely. After living in these entire places, I
think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so
important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order
from first to last. First of all I like to live in less populated and clean town.

Descriptive Essay On My New House
I walked through my house one more time, saying a silent goodbye to each room, the only rooms I'd
ever known. My parents' bedroom, which contained my favorite hiding spot during our many
Hide–and–Seek games–their closet, my sister's bedroom, where I had slept next to my grandma on
the pull–out bed in the years before my sister was born, my own room, with its ceiling of blue sky
and yellow stars. The rooms where I had played, laughed, cried. The street where I learned how to
catch a baseball, ride a bike, drive my mini motorcycle. The backyard where my many pets–cats,
dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again;
seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought countless memories back to me, overwhelming
me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad
to be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same
time, I was yearning to explore my new house and make new memories there. I was intrigued by
many of its characteristics, such as the fact that it was two stories–two story houses had always
seemed much more exciting than my one story house, where everything said and done could be
heard and seen from almost every corner. As my mom drove my cat and me on the twenty minute

Descriptive Essay About My Dream Place
Standing in awe, I review the instructions on the paper ticket I hold in my hand: "1: Close your
eyes. 2: Picture your dream place to visit. 3: Insert this ticket into the ticket feeder." Following the
instructions, my eyes close as I take a deep breath. What the one place I dream greatest about? I
could travel anywhere; there are so numerous places I had dreamed of visiting. Shifting through my
thoughts, I accordingly choose somewhere I have imagined for the longest time. I heavily exhale,
opening my eyes as my ticket gets pulled into the feeder.
Impatience and excitement are overcoming in the silence as I wait. Suddenly a door appears and

beautiful creations, everything prevails more breathtaking than I ever imagined. A path leads into

path and animals are not as frightful here as what I had known them to be before.
As I reach the end of the forest trail, laughter and music becomes louder; it is a town. Filled with
hope, I begin thinking maybe I will see people I once knew. Skipping down the trail a little faster, I

A Perfect Place?
Crouched beside my father's hospital bed, I prayed for him to stay alive as he ran his trembling
fingers through my soft brown curls for the last time. He focused on my big green eyes as they
overflowed with salty tears and whispered: "Sabrina Jane, in no circumstance you will give up
hope." Every night I lay in bed, weary of what tomorrow will bring to me and my family without
my valiant father for support and protection from the oppressive world we are required to live. I
am proceeding to follow in his footsteps to turn this 'utopian world' into a free space where
people do not have to be watched, but first I need to get past the government. The government has

machines for me to construct in order to depart from 'the perfect place'. My mother, who has blonde

Traffic in Los Angeles is implausible. The streets are congested from morning to night and

in Los Angeles: The Taste of Soul Festival, a community event held on the famous Crenshaw
Boulevard where the people of Los Angeles come together as one. People also come from others
states to enjoy this event. There is singing, dancing, competitions, games and activities. The festival
includes live bands comprised of R&B, jazz, country, gospel and much more. Many vendors also
participate in this event, selling food such as hotdogs, sausages, fish, crabs, chicken, cotton candy
and ice cream. This is a big event. According to the Los Angeles Sentinel, more than 300,000
people attended in 2012. One of the best times of my stay in Los Angeles was being a part of this
event. My favorite enjoyment was the live Gospel Music, the steppers, and the great seafood.

the spot I wanted to capture. This piece spoke to me for multiple reasons because I found it in an
area that resembles where I grew up and I took a lot of comfort in that fact. I now have somewhere
to go and get away when I need to be alone or if I need to think about things because of this
scavenger hunt. Just by looking at this picture it brings me a feeling of peace and comfort. The
first reason this picture practically shouted at me was because this reminds me of a spot at home
that I would visit frequently. I live four hours away in the country and more specifically on the side
off a mountain. Along with that I live in a house with six brothers and a little sister. This said, I am
completely surrounded by woods, not many other attractions, and only my family to drive me
insane. So, In the valley by my house we have a creek that runs through the woods and that was
where I would go for everything. If I was mad and needed time to cool off, if I wanted scenery
that I could draw, workouts, and almost anything else you could think of. So, when I found this spot
a rush of emotions ran through me because it reminded me of this. This spot has now become my
new thinking spot. I love walking out to it and just sitting along the side to think and I even come
out here to do

Campus Descriptive Essay
West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every
morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a
breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering
into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow
classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for
the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the
first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a
breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was
shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers
worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden
yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons
clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing
my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced
me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in
acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was
perfect, not too hot, but

Descriptive Essay About A Place

  • 1. Descriptive Essay About A Beautiful Place The sweltering breeze rushes through my fingers as I sit on the soft green grass in the park. It's such a beautiful day, the grassy plane clashes with the sapphire sky and the sunlight illuminates the delicate area surrounding me. I quickly find myself becoming captivated by the amount of diverse people who populate the parks space. The athletic runners, dog walkers, and adolescents hidden in their smartphones; which, astonishes me because who knew that such a beautiful place could bring so many contrasting individuals together. I arise to my feet and began traveling down a narrow path which aligns itself along a lengthy river, but finally converged with the parkway ahead. An elderly couple sits at the end of the path on a wooden bench eating ice cream that slowly drizzles down their hands and onto the wedding rings that occupies their fingers. I observe the elderly couple for a short amount of time noticing how happy and gullible they act towards each other. I slowly began to lose interest in the couple, but then the elderly woman's ice cream starts to run onto her blouse and the aged husband runs to fetch some napkins, quickly returning with them. A melody ringing throughout the park quickly drew my attention away from the couple and directed it to the truck that rests on the side of the road. The truck has a window fixtured on its side where a man hands out ice cream to a long line of kids waiting. Finding myself in line, I notice a younger couple at the very front who Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay : A Place On The Beach 1. Walking home from school an old abandon house on the corner of he street always gives me this weird feeling like im being watch. Friday night a few friends decide to go and check out the house. After a walking a few miles the were finally there and the feeling of being watched starts to set in a grows deeper. As were leaving, rain starts to poor like crazy and with home being a few miles away we decide our only place to stay dry is the house. Walking into the house the first thing we notice is the smell, as if something has died in here long ago. Boards creek from every step we take, pitch black, and the only noise is the sound of the storm outside. To scared to go anywhere we decide to leave not caring how wet we got. Being wet is way better then being scarred beyond belief. 2. The place where I feel most comfortable is a place where I am calm. It is the place to go to get away from all my troubles. The one place where I could sit forever, and never get tired of just staring into the blue water as the sun rays reflect off the water giving it a beautiful glow. A place where nothing matters but what is in that little moment. Walking on the beach with a slight breeze, cold sand, and the sound of the waves crashing creating a noise that nothing can replace. Beaches are the perfect happy place. 3. Almost every day of the year this place is loud, crowded, and full of diversity. Black Friday, one day of the year, a special day, the mall is one of the most chaotic places on Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place For many people there is a sweet smell, a pleasing photograph, the familiar sound of happiness that bring them back to a place full of childhood images. In my life, I was lucky enough to have traveled to some of the most beautiful places on Earth. I have swum with the dolphins in crystal blue sea of Phuket Thailand and watch golden ray of the sunshine set behind mount Fuji in Japan. However, no places earth will compare to the loveliness of my childhood paradise, a place I called home. Barbara Kingsolver writes, "I have a place where all my stories begin," and my story began at a lake house located on the water edge of Little Toad Lake, Minnesota. (Kingsolver 939). It is where I spent half my life with my dog (Spike), sister, mom, and dad, through the hot summer days and freezing winter months. The house was built on the side of a steep hill leading down to a beach front lake. The main entrance had a big double iron door which lead into the living room overlooking the lake. The main living area had several big windows which let in a brilliant of sunlight onto the dark walnut floor. The fireplace mantle displays a big moose head that my dad shot on his hunting trip to Alaska (his prize possession). My favorite place of the house would be the kitchen. That's where all my lessons of cooking started. Thank you to my mom for teaching me the value of cooking. If it wasn't for her I would be eating ramens every day at college. Oh, the memories we had at the lake house. In the spring, my mom, sister, and I go on long walks in the woods to go mushroom hunting because who doesn't love free food. I remember making mushroom soup for the first time and almost burning my hands off because I forgot to turn the stove down to low and the pot was overflowing onto the floor. I could still remember the facial expression on my mom's face, let just say she was not a happy camper. One summer day, my sister and I were out fishing with my mom on the pontoon and we were catching a lot of fish and out of nowhere it started pouring rain. My mom started the pontoon and guess what? We ran out of gas in the middle of the lake. It took as over two hours to paddle back to shore but thank goodness it stopped raining. To this day we still Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Descriptive Essay About My Favorite Place As a child, people will always remember certain destinations that stick with them that made a good impression. I have a place that not only made a good impression, it changed me. It made me think off all the things in life people take for granted; places, people, activates. This place brought all though special things in life to one place where I can enjoy them all at the same time. The Oregon coast. Traveling there, as a kid was always special. Waking up early in the morning and driving the long trip there, going through forests, valleys, and cities. The Oregon coast is such a broad place to describe, but in reality, all the towns have the same feel but different atmosphere. Pacific City is small and quiet with a great...show more content... Its cold, windy, and sunny all at the same time. The beach stretches for miles seeming endless, until it reaches a tall cliff with waves crashing against it. The sun shines down on the moisture in the air creating a "sparkling" affect to add to the view. In some spots on the coast giant rock formations stick out of the water, creating a question on how they formed there. Sea creatures dot the sand everywhere. Walking the beach with sand between your toes is and not a worry in your mind is one of the best feelings. If you time it right early in the mornings and late in the night low tide takes place and you can find sand dollars and unique shells. Beautiful houses and hotels line the beach all with the same withered look they all strive to have, and balconies on every place to capture the view. This destination is such an important place to Oregonians because its such a magical place. It transports you into a different dimension where there are no other places like it. You cannot be one the beach without a smile on your face, it's near impossible to be in a gloomy mood when there. Mainly magical because you can escape there with family and friends with many opportunities to try to experience new or traditional things. Like having a fire on a beach roasting s'mores with family and friends, or trying weird sea creature at a restaurant. The Oregon Coast will always hold a spot near to my heart. I can't wait for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Favorite Place In My Home My Favorite Place There is a room in my home which is full of books and somewhat messy. It is my living room, which may be not quite common. It is where I stay longest, study, and relax at home. It has accompanied me for approximately ten years and has seen my growth. It makes every day meaningful to me, and therefore, it is my favorite place without doubt. My living room is different from an ordinary one. Indeed, most of common furniture of a living room is there. There is just one thing missing. It is the television, which my family removed when I was in senior high. However, the room also has many elements of a study, thereby it is multifunctional and special. Stepping into the room, one can see desks for daily study, bookcases, and shelves. Since I love books, books take up much space of the room. They flow from shelves and bookcases to everywhere you may imagine: on the desks, in the schoolbag I bring to school, and even sometimes...show more content... I can still remember the old days. I used to be fond of intelligence toys and chess games, and let the toys and chess pieces occupy the table. I used to watch fancy cartoons or scientific educational programs on television with curiosity. I used to read novels or popular science books on the sofa, and sometimes I was so concentrated that I forgot about the time. So many important incidents once happened there. The table used to be where my mother taught me basic knowledge and my first academic tutorial took place. The starting point of my learning chemistry of senior high also took place there when I was almost ten. Moreover, the shabby desk in the room always reminds me of the time when I was busy preparing for the college entrance examination. Every scar on the desk is telling a story. The pen rushing on the paper, I tried my best to improve myself through all kinds of tests held by myself. Sweat was in my palms. The process was hard but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Essay on scary places Over the course of my life, I have encountered many eerie locations that have given me the chills. Despite all those fearful situations, only three places have ever successfully handicapped my lungs from providing oxygen to my heart. I could not begin to predict the events that would occur when I decided to visit a jail hostel, a cemetery, or a cellar. Until these visits, I have never been frozen from head to toe, unable to conduct a move. My previous hair raising experiences are practically nonexistent compared to my journey to The Ottawa Jail Hostel, the Garden Cemetery, or a friend's basement cellar. To begin, the first place that is soon going to put goose bumps on my skin is the Ottawa Jail Hostel. In order to reach the hostel I...show more content... My curiosity leads me closer and I soon find myself inside the hostel. Once inside, the scene of a hotel lobby jumps into view, although everything is beaten down as if a pack of wolves ran through. To my left, a few broken remains of the front desk lay scattered on the floor. Now, this decrepit structure sits upside down in the corner of the room. I slowly creep into the next room which leads to a stairway. Immediately, I want to explore the upper level. Suddenly, I see a strange shadow appearing from the corner of my eye. A loud crash leads me to believe the figure is in the lobby. Goosebumps appear on my neck and arms as a harsh wind blows through an open window. I scream as I run back out of the building. Panting and confused, I try to retrieve myself from a frightened state and gain control of my body once again. Therefore, the first frightening experience I have ever encountered happened at the Ottawa Jail Hostel. The second stop on my haunted journey, is to Garden Cemetery. To reach the cemetery, I start to walk through a spooky forest. This forest contains vast wisps of dead grass, fragile to a single touch. Occasional gusts of wind forces these stands of death to dance and rustle against each other. Tall trees lean in all different directions, with leaves no longer clinging to their branches. These dormant structures lurch over my body, trying to hold me captive in their distorted arms. As a result, I quicken my pace and my breath Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. Essay Important Place An important place. Chris English 123 August 20, 2013 2 As a child the most important place to me was the block in my neighborhood I grew up on. It was a particularly long and very wide street with several pairs of incredibly tall palm trees spread throughout both sidewalks. There was no shortage of playmates; almost every other home on the block had children around my age I could play with. There was also an older generation of teenagers that hung around together. I also had other family members living down the street from my house on the same block. As the children played daily so did the adults. The men of the block all met daily after work rotating from one home to another. They could be seen sitting around every...show more content... It also made things great that our families were all close friends so our playtime was extended to trips together or while the adults wanted to come over for dinner. Unfortunately Marco moved away with his family when we were just 6 years old. Michael and I continued to be best friends growing up into our pre–teen years; suddenly Michael's family decided to move out of California, just as Marco and his family did years earlier. It was a sad time for me, but life went on and my neighborhood was still filled with young, wild, and free kids to play with. New friendships were created and new memories were made. Although, I never found another best friend to replace Michael or Marco, I continued to build friendships and enjoyed my time on Carondelet Street. Everyday around 5pm the men of the neighborhood would begin to slowly gather to a neighbor's home. The objective was just to have a great time with great people. It was a time during the day where everyone drank to unwind and get comfortable. Instead of a local bar with strangers it was with their family and their friends. They talked about their day at work, as most of the men came straight from their jobs with some still wearing their uniform. They sat for hours into the late evening, laughing, telling stories, and gambling by playing cards. • 8. Personal Narrative Essay About A Place After we landed we went to our host home to get freshen up because we were going out for pizza. I thought okay this will be good, I will be able to see the city a little bit and eat something I am familiar with. So, we get to Andy's pizza and I had to use the restroom really bad. I headed to the bathroom and go in to the stall, the next thing I know there is a male in the bathroom with me! I went out to the table and said "Oh my goodness! Why didn't any one warn me about the bathroom situation!?" Sergiu, one of our host, said "What about the bathroom? It is completely normal for a guy and a girl to be in the bathroom together." There was a feast for breakfast every morning. I was so grateful for the abundance amount of food because in Moldova they don't have a crazy amount of money. I knew we were greatly appreciated for our hard work by the twenty fried eggs, full plate of bacon, full plate of pancakes, full plate of toast, two different kinds of juice, and most importantly the full pot of coffee. All we could say to the precious Russian cook was "spasibo", which means thank you. Wine and alcoholic was another sign of gratefulness that we had every night with dinner....show more content... I didn't understand why there was trash lining up the streets or why we had to hold our bags firm and close. I could not wrap my mind around the differences in my culture and their culture. Then on day three it hit me, the people of Moldova were irritated at me because I am an American. They saw me as a threat and they could suck me into buying things at ridiculous prices. They realized that I cannot speak Russian or Romanian and that I depended on a translator. I became what people thought, I was. Than mom came back in an urgent business trip near hometown. She was disheartened to see my condition. After meeting mom, I suddenly cried and told her everything, like a baby. Complained and complained about everything and everyone, how they treated me. I almost blamed her for giving her looks. I don't know what I was saying, I know it's not her fault, if I had her looks. But I wanted to relieve my anger, so I chose her. I cursed her and even my grandparents. I told she looks like demon and because of that I was born as demon. I was pissed and my mouth went out of control. I told her that because of her scary face, even daddy left her and she deserved it. When she heard this she held me by the shoulders. I got scared and closed my eyes shut, thinking I would be slapped. • 11. Descriptive Essay About My Place In High School Have you ever been in a place that at first glance does not seem like anything special, yet the more time you spend in that place the more enjoyable it becomes? As you are going into high school you will be taking several FACS classes. The more you know about the FACS room the better prepared you will be for those classes. The FACS classroom at Holcomb High School is a delightful place to be. There are three different sections that make up the FACS classroom. Starting first with the classroom its self, where all the desks are, and where you do your textbook assignments. The second part of the classroom is the adjoining room that is made up of the kitchens that you learn to cook in. The last part is the small picnic area outside. As you first walk through the door into the classroom, you will notice how large the classroom is. As you scan the room for the first time you will see that the room has lots of pops of colors from pictures and posters on the walls. You will see the roughly twenty– five cheap plastic desk and chairs. The walls are tan painted cinder blocks, the paint gives the walls a smooth yet sort of bumpy texture. As you look up to the ceiling you will see ceiling tiles, that over the years have faded and been scuffed up. Looking down at the floor you will see that the floor is covered in well abused glued down laminate tiles. The tiles stared as an off white and have slowly yellowed. Cabinets wrap around the room that alternate between a pale yellow and white, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. Descriptive Essay On A Walk In The Park A Walk in the Park A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight. Walking through the trail full of mud and leaves always made me think about my life. It was always there when I needed to walk and get things off my mind. Looking around watching the leaves fall off tree after tree flying like butterflies, all different colors. When they stopped, they immediately died and they were not coming back alive again. Piled leaves filled up under trees and children ran and jumped on them like they were pillows. These trees tripled the height of humans with numerous branches holding hundreds of leaves. While walking the river flows and it is such a beautiful view with the sun shining right off of it. The ducks and little birds chirping and floating through the smooth water puts a joy to my face. I found a rest area with a bench and by it was a fountain. The ripple of water and the singing that the birds formed made it peaceful to sit there and study the fountain. Just appreciating the little things in life and realizing what all I have and have overcome is what the park helps me Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Descriptive Essay About A Happy Place In The Sea I take a deep breath, my nostrils are filled with the pleasant aroma of the salty sea air. This is my happy place, this is where I belong. As I sit with my freshly painted pink toes in the sand, I am overwhelmed with all that is happening around me. To my right, there is a family of four; a mother, father, and two little red headed girls that look like twins, laughing and jumping around, taking in the big world around them. The children are in their bright red and purple flowered bathing suits, running and screaming, attempting to get their toes wet in the chilly water that churns back and forth on the shore. After a few attempts they decide to run and jump full force into the crystal clear abyss, unaware of what creatures they could find if they dive deep enough. To the left of me, I see an older couple, books in hand, enjoying the relaxing evening under their bright, multicolor striped beach umbrella and green folding chairs that have palm trees sewn on the back. The man leans over and soon enough the lady begins to laugh at what he has said. Further down I can see a boy in blue and white striped swim trunks and his dog playing fetch near the shore. The dog is brown with a mix of white around his back. Each time the boy throws the bouncy blue ball, the dog is more and more eager to retrieve it for his owner. After a few throws, the next one goes farther than the others, causing the dog to dive into the water. He seems to enjoy the way the cool water feels on his fur Get more content on HelpWriting.net

The beat of the music may be songful to the ear but a reason as to why I chose this was because it lets me know what time it is in the day. It is also a reminder to me that I should be somewhere in a couple minutes. The reminder is a special aspect of why I wanted to share this place with you because it can help you be productive in your everyday life. In this essay, I will examine the bad and good aspects of some of the places I have lived. Then, I will compare what I consider to be "ideal" conditions with the good aspects of those places where I have lived. Lastly, I will choose the place that I think is best for me. I was born in Gujarat , India , and I lived there for 9 years then I moved to America . I consider it to be my hometown. I have some bad memories from there. But, it was very hot in summer and freezing cold in spring. My town had so many good restaurants and shopping mall. Well, it?s up to north of Alabama so it doesn?t have beach, however, it has rivers down there. On the Good side, this town was wide open. There was lots of space and the natural scenery was just beautiful. Because it was not so crowded, and traffic was not a problem, there was not much pollution either. I like this because it was easier to keep healthy. Finally, I moved to Ventura because my family said so. They didn?t want me to do a party and all so they moved back me to Ventura . The entire place I have lived, I think I like it here the best. It is nice here for several reasons. Because the population is not too high, there are lots of place to visit, lots of job opportunities and less crowded transportation facilities. I am not sure of all the reasons, but I think life here is just much more exciting. I have some problem here because my family is here so I can?t go for parties and go home late night. However I do parties because sometime I get lonely. After living in these entire places, I think I can honestly say which characteristics are most important to me, and which ones are not so important. I have though about this very much, and now I feel like I can rank these things in order from first to last. First of all I like to live in less populated and clean town. • 16. Descriptive Essay On My New House I walked through my house one more time, saying a silent goodbye to each room, the only rooms I'd ever known. My parents' bedroom, which contained my favorite hiding spot during our many Hide–and–Seek games–their closet, my sister's bedroom, where I had slept next to my grandma on the pull–out bed in the years before my sister was born, my own room, with its ceiling of blue sky and yellow stars. The rooms where I had played, laughed, cried. The street where I learned how to catch a baseball, ride a bike, drive my mini motorcycle. The backyard where my many pets–cats, dogs, rabbits, had roamed. It was hard to comprehend that I would never live in this house again; seeing the once lively spaces now empty brought countless memories back to me, overwhelming me with nostalgia. It was difficult to handle my conflicting inner feelings. On one hand, I was sad to be leaving my childhood home, the keeper of countless secrets and memories, but at the same time, I was yearning to explore my new house and make new memories there. I was intrigued by many of its characteristics, such as the fact that it was two stories–two story houses had always seemed much more exciting than my one story house, where everything said and done could be heard and seen from almost every corner. As my mom drove my cat and me on the twenty minute ride from the city of Antioch to neighboring Brentwood, even my cat's incessant meowing could not keep me from my thoughts of what I was leaving behind; the only Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 17. Descriptive Essay About My Dream Place Standing in awe, I review the instructions on the paper ticket I hold in my hand: "1: Close your eyes. 2: Picture your dream place to visit. 3: Insert this ticket into the ticket feeder." Following the instructions, my eyes close as I take a deep breath. What the one place I dream greatest about? I could travel anywhere; there are so numerous places I had dreamed of visiting. Shifting through my thoughts, I accordingly choose somewhere I have imagined for the longest time. I heavily exhale, opening my eyes as my ticket gets pulled into the feeder. Impatience and excitement are overcoming in the silence as I wait. Suddenly a door appears and swings open. As I step through the doorway into a blinding light, I almost lose my breath. A peaceful scenery of valleys and flowers appears. Walking down a rubble path in awe of the beautiful creations, everything prevails more breathtaking than I ever imagined. A path leads into an alluring forest as trees cascade over like a giant archway. A stream runs along the left side of the path and animals are not as frightful here as what I had known them to be before. As I reach the end of the forest trail, laughter and music becomes louder; it is a town. Filled with hope, I begin thinking maybe I will see people I once knew. Skipping down the trail a little faster, I approach a heavy wall that separates the forest and the town. Only a few people notice a new presence at first as I pull a gate open and step through. • 18. Descriptive Essay On A Perfect Place A Perfect Place? Crouched beside my father's hospital bed, I prayed for him to stay alive as he ran his trembling fingers through my soft brown curls for the last time. He focused on my big green eyes as they overflowed with salty tears and whispered: "Sabrina Jane, in no circumstance you will give up hope." Every night I lay in bed, weary of what tomorrow will bring to me and my family without my valiant father for support and protection from the oppressive world we are required to live. I am proceeding to follow in his footsteps to turn this 'utopian world' into a free space where people do not have to be watched, but first I need to get past the government. The government has everyone is fenced in with guards observing their every move, advised that there is a horrid place outside this world and to never leave since there will always be consequences for everything. Except there are always people trying to escape the interior facade of distraught, we hear that they all die from reading the Newspaper and the deafening of the rambunctious sirens that warn us of the dangers from disobeying the Mayor's laws. I hope to be the first one to withdraw the way of living I was raised to obey. When you walk into my bedroom there are stacks of thick, rough and smooth yellow paper, on all of the paper I have plans for my escape, using town sketches and machines for me to construct in order to depart from 'the perfect place'. • 20. Descriptive Essay On A Place In The Woods For many people they have that one place they can go and just relax. For me it's some place in the woods with a stream or creek. So, when I found this spot while walking around I knew this was the spot I wanted to capture. This piece spoke to me for multiple reasons because I found it in an area that resembles where I grew up and I took a lot of comfort in that fact. I now have somewhere to go and get away when I need to be alone or if I need to think about things because of this scavenger hunt. Just by looking at this picture it brings me a feeling of peace and comfort. The first reason this picture practically shouted at me was because this reminds me of a spot at home that I would visit frequently. I live four hours away in the country and more specifically on the side off a mountain. Along with that I live in a house with six brothers and a little sister. This said, I am completely surrounded by woods, not many other attractions, and only my family to drive me insane. So, In the valley by my house we have a creek that runs through the woods and that was where I would go for everything. If I was mad and needed time to cool off, if I wanted scenery that I could draw, workouts, and almost anything else you could think of. So, when I found this spot a rush of emotions ran through me because it reminded me of this. This spot has now become my new thinking spot. I love walking out to it and just sitting along the side to think and I even come out here to do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 21. Campus Descriptive Essay West Virginia University has hands down the most gorgeous campus I have ever seen. Every morning I would wake up knowing that I have the privilege of attending a good school with a breathtakingly beautiful campus. I was gradually awoken by the warm rays of sunlight filtering into my room like a gentle wake up call. I got up to look out the window and I saw my fellow classmates walking to class and going about their days. Stretching and yawning I prepare myself for the day. I cannot help but to think that today is going to be a good day. As I stepped outside for the first time I felt the cool breeze gently blowing between the buildings, giving everyone it touches a breath of fresh air. Strolling through campus, I stopped for a minute to admire how the sun was shining down on like a spotlight on all the beautiful blue and gold flowers. The landscapers worked hard planting the flowers of the most royal of blues and the perfect shade of golden yellow. Walking further down the hill I saw the familiar "flying dub v" on every passing persons clothing. Most of my classmates were in a rush to get to class, but I took my time just absorbing my surroundings. A strong breeze carried the scent of freshly cut grass to my nose and embraced me as I continued my journey to class. Passing several students on my way, nodding my head in acknowledgement, a few familiar faces make eye contact and smile. The weather that day was perfect, not too hot, but Get more content on HelpWriting.net
