PLASTICINE TO TEACH
VALUES “RESPONSIBILITY
Norma Bastidas
 Students must know the meaning of the word
responsibility. It’s a good idea to ask them to
search the meaning of this word in a dictionary.
 Divide the class into groups of two and ask
students to compare the definitions and find it
out the common ideas.
Duty
Obligation
 They are going to work with the same partner
and talk about their responsibilities.
Do my
homework…Feed my dog…
 Then I am going to tell students that this special
word “responsibility” has three characteristics:
 The activities that you consider your
responsibilities must be done at the
right time.
 Perfect, and
 With good attitude.
 Once they have it clear, they are going to choose
the responsibility that satisfies these three
characteristics and they are going to be able to
model it in plasticine.
 The plasticine that I am going to give them is
going to be modeled like in the pictures:
 Students have to model first the concepts.
 Then students have to model the image.
 After students have to read the concepts and
keep the images in a special file memory.
 Once they’ve kept the images in their minds, students
have to model the plasticine in small rolls again.
 This is another value implicit in the lesson. To leave
the materials in the same way that they received.
