Psoriasis is a long term skin problem that causes skin cells to
grow too quickly, causing thick, white/red patches.
The patches range in size from small to large.
They mostly appear on knees, elbows, scalp, hand and feet.
It is non-contagious.
There is no prevention and no complete cure.
There are five types of psoriasis namely Plaque, Guttate,
Inverse, Pustular and Erythrodermic ,out of which the most

Psoriasis is caused when the immune system overreacts,
causing inflammation and flaking of skin.
Cold and dry climate, infections, stress and dry skin can also
cause this disease.
Certain medicines like that of high blood pressure and
mental illness may also trigger off the disease. Non steroidal
anti inflammatory drugs also cause this condition.
