What is thriller?
A thriller is a genre. It uses a lot of suspense, tension and excitement as the main
focus throughout the scenes. The genre could be used in film and television series’. I
gives its audience a high level of anticipation, surprise and anxiety. They tend to use
fast movement In these types of films. It provides a certain emotion to its viewers
excitement and suspense are some of the many main emotions used. They drive
the narrative and get the audience sitting the edge of their seat waiting for the
action to happen or not to happen, they get the viewer screaming at the TV set.
Sometimes contains peaks and lulls sometimes at a constant pace. Literary devices
such as red herrings, plot twists, and cliffhangers are used extensively.
Thrillers normally contain a villain of some sort which is a main part of the plot,
which means the actor/s have to try and overcome obstacles of all sorts.
