Jerry Uelsmann is an American photographer known for his surreal composite photographs assembled from multiple negatives. He began experimenting with this technique in the late 1950s. Some of his key accomplishments include receiving a Guggenheim Fellowship in 1967 and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in 1972. He is also a founding member of the Society of Photographic Education. Uelsmann's work has been exhibited widely in the US and abroad for over 30 years.

2. About Jerry Uelsmann
Was born in Detroit June 11th, 1934. And he is still
alive and working today
Jerry Uelsmann often uses a dark room to assemble
negatives.
He began assembling multiple negatives in the
late1950’s
in 1957 he published his first image in Photography

Aside from having shows across the country, Jerry
has also appeared abroad for the past 30 years

He received Guggenheim Fellowship in 1967
he was also awarded the National Endowment
for the Arts Fellowship in 1972.
He is a founding member of The Society of
Photographic Education and a trustee of the
Friends of Photography.
In a 1981 Uelsmann's work was named one of
the most collected in the country.

I really enjoy this piece because its abstract in This photo seems to have a certain calmness to it
the fact that there are clouds and a sky, where a I like this photo because the room in which it is
