3. Physical Charactaristics In Alaska, there are a lot of valleys and mountains in general. The biggest one is Mt. McKinley. All over Alaska the types of landscape varies from huge green spruce forests, to large, flat, shrubbed tundras. Most of the vegetation in Alaska is moss, lichen, trees. Here the climate is very bi-polar. It can snow as late as May, and as early as August. During the summer, the night sky never turns dark, sometimes it's a bright as day! When winter comes, between December and February, it can get as low s -75 degrees Fahrenheit, during the summer it can get as warm as 90 degrees Fahrenheit too!
