products and services related market in India is highly fragmented and was estimated to be worth Rs.
50,000 Crore (about US $11 billion then) in 2010. The Company is the first to focus on capitalizing on
the heavy use of astrology in India. About a million+ mundane queries are put to Jyotishis (astrologers)
each day in India! Queries such as, will my father recover from illness? Will I pass my exams? What
are the chances of getting a job? When will I get married? Will our marriage
last? And many more.
Dating and matrimony based and e-commerce driven businesses focused on monetizing the widely held belief
in predictive astrology (Jyotish) among Indian Hindus. Using predictive astrology to build and manage
romantic, matrimonial and relations driven alliances through complex & proprietary algorithms driven
interpersonal predictions and credible content. The Company is raising capital to fund a marketing effort to
grow the customer base. Test marketing drive showed a very low acquisition cost of $0.20 per member through
PPC test campaign on the matrimony and about $0.35 for the recently introduced dating sites. Zotality is the

Ecommerce market in
India was worth $23

In India, dating sites users are expected to
jump from 6 to nearly 200 million between
December 2012 and 2018.
Compatibility matching algorithm is the
mainstay of all important dating and
matchmaking sites in the US, however only
ZoMatch uses the algorithm which has
been thoroughly tried and tested for its
efficacy for about 2000 years! ZoMatch
could be the solution to the unresolved
compatibility riddle in North America.
Barriers to entry center around the complexity of programming the astrological precepts and various
proprietary processes and algorithms implemented to arrive at many of the Jyotish predictions. These
are proprietary in nature, which not only require inputs from highly experienced practitioners of
predictive Indian astrology (Jyotish) but also substantial knowledge and understanding of predictive

Operations:
Kundali Matrimony website is up and active, and a test marketing drive showed very
low acquisition cost of $0.20 per user on this matrimony site. The recently
launched mobile dating site ZoMatch.com displayed a user acquisition
cost of around $0.35 in preliminary test marketing.
Management:
Experienced management with an in-depth understanding of the predictive Indian
astrology domain and proven track record in management, finance, technology and
marketing required for the success of the project.
Fund Raise and Use of Proceeds:
The Company is looking to raise up to $750,000 to fund a marketing push and
continue product development and enhancement. The company has proven that they
can grow the user base substantially with little marketing spend. They intend to use
the growth capital to rapidly establish a user base and complete mobile apps for its
various services. The Company expects cash-flow break-even within 24 months
with just this initial funding. However an aggressive member acquisition strategy will
require subsequent funding at a higher valuation, and would truly solidify the presence
and position of the Company.
Financials and User Metrics:
The Company expects to reach 233,000 paid users on the matrimonial matchmaking
site and 477,000 paid users on the dating site (total paid users of 710,000) in the third
year of operation after funding. Their total subscriber base of 12.3 million members
for both sites combined is expected to drive $46.2 million in revenues and $13.6
million in EBITDA and $8.5 million in net profit in that year. Revenue of approximately
$3.76 per site user annually seems like a reasonable estimate. We note that LinkedIn
earns annual average revenue of $6.82 per user and Facebook earns $10.47 per user
worldwide.
Zotality’s assumption of $72 per paid user per year and $45 per user per year, for its
matrimonial and dating sites, is best compared with dating sites with quite high
numbers in terms of revenue per user which is useful as a comparison.
Spark Networks (LOV: US) which runs dating sites targeting various groups in the
US earns annual revenue of $235 per paying user on their matchmaking sites. Shaadi
a popular Indian matrimonial site charges between $156 and $1296 annually, and
Bharat Matrimony between $156 and $1044 annually for their various membership
plans. TrulyMadly, an Indian online dating service launched in February 2014 has
membership plans ranging from Rs. 1000 ($15.38) to Rs. 7,500 ($115). Given
the combined importance of astrology and marriage compatibility in the Indian culture
we accept that the revenue per paying user for both the matrimonial and as well as
dating site is highly competitive as compared to other matrimony sites in India and dating sites in India
and worldwide.
If the revenue per user expectations is reasonable then we have to take a look at the user assumptions.
Shaadi.com, founded in 1997 had reached 20 million users in 2011. TrulyMadly a well funded Indian
dating service claimed to have 1.4 million users in about eighteen months after its launch in 2014. We
note that Facebook has 125 million average users in India. Zotality is a new service with a unique
offering so it is difficult to predict with accuracy the adoption rate but these projections seem
reasonable.
