Administrative Team
The Jafaria Sunday School’s (JSS) Organizaitonal Structure includes two main teams

Team is comprised of 4 volunteers that are equal contributors to the team. Their responsibilities include:

•Provide recommendations on operationalization of specific objectives and goals
•Support the Administrative Team with conflict management or escalated items

The Jafaria Sunday School’s (JSS) Organizational Structure includes two main teams

The Administrative Team has been working on a Strategic Plan that is aimed at re-engaging the
motivation for students and teachers by improving the learning experience.

Improve Processes
• Develop team charter
• Develop a strategic plan and operating model
• Develop School procedures and guidelines
• Develop a new school portal and incorporate better use of technology in school projects and activities
Improve Curriculum and Teaching Methods:
• Refine and consolidate the School curriculum: focus on key relevant learning objectives for each subject
• Improve the Quran curriculum: improve placement testing and standardize learning objectives for each level
• Improve the overall teaching methods by encouraging teachers to diversify their teaching methods
Increase Student Engagement Levels: diversify the learning experience
• Introduce learning via art and have a theme day
• Include debates, role playing, games and more fun activities in the classrooms
• Inter-Sunday School Competitions, Public Speaking Contests or Team Building Activities
• Food drive for the needy
• Field trip to the OC Harvest Food Bank for volunteering activities
• Pen Pal system with an Orphan around the Globe
• Self defense classes for older students
• Sports tournament
• School Picnic with Families

Changes proposed in this
strategic plan will be
gradually implemented
over the course of the
next three years. No
changes can be made
overnight!
New Sunday School structure
was only approved by the
Board recently. This does not
give the Administrative team
enough time/resources to
recruit sufficient teachers
and volunteers or properly
plan the changes they wanted
to exhibit.
Many students and teachers
are dis-engaged due to issues
stemming from the previous
school years

Registration start date is Aug. 25th and the last date for registration is September 25th, 2019
Important Information
Registration fees: $200 for first child, $150 for Additional Children
Lunch Sponsorship
Parents are required to sponsor lunch on one of the Sundays and must sign up for it on the first
day of school for it on the first day of school
Sunday School Start Date: October 13th, 2019
Mandatory attendance for students due to Quran placement testing
Donations
We are in need of donations to sponsor the extra-curricular activities
Volunteers Needed
New PTA Team: Volunteers needed to sign up for the PTA team
Teachers and Teacher’s assistants needed
