8/15 to present: High School Math Teacher - Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart, Bellevue WA
I teach Honors Geometry, Honors Pre-Calculus, International Baccalaureate Math Studies, and
Algebra I.
7/14 to 12/15: On-line Math and Science Tutor - School Tutoring Academy
I tutor students from 8th grade to college. I tutor in geometry, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, AP
calculus, AP statistics, physics, AP physics, college-level algebra, college calculus, statistics, and differential
equations. I also prepare students for the SAT and ACT tests in math.
7/11 to 7/14: 8th Grade Math Teacher at Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School in Puhi on Kauai
I taught standard 8th grade math to the states Common Core State Standards, I also taught algebra
(honors 8th grade math) to the CCSS and I also taught remedial 8th grade mathematics. I was the math
department head for 2013-2014, the downstairs team leader, and the Academic Review Team math member
for our school.
3/10 to 6/10 Part Time Teacher – Hanalei Elementary Special Education
I was a 2 day a week part time teacher for an ODD 6th grade student. I follow the action plan of a
DOE psychologist in dealing with the student, I document his behaviors.
9/09 to 5/11 Substitute Teacher Kapaa High School
I substituted in pre-algebra, algebra I and II, geometry, special education, agriculture, chemistry,
auto shop, and Hawaiian History. I was a long term sub in Algebra II (for a quarter in 2010) and in Marine
Science (for a quarter in 2011)
9/06 to 06/09 Teacher Kula Intermediate and High, Kula Elementary
I began an after-school robotics class at Kula Elementary in September of 2005 using the Lego
Mindstorms kits. It was popular enough that Kula IH asked me to teach robotics as an elective in January of
2006. I taught robotics at both schools. We have competed in both the FLL and Botball competitions.
I began teaching calculus in January of 2007, and physics at the start of the 2007-2008 school year.
In addition, I taught pre-calculus and pre-algebra (7th grade).
12/00 to 6/04 Director of Business Development, Samsung Semiconductor
I developed and marketed new memory products for Samsung’s network and telecom customers:
QDR SRAMs, Network DRAMs, Rambus, etc. I worked with the planning and design teams in Korea to
refine new products for customers.
10/97 to 8/00 Manager: MPU and MCU Global Supplier Management at Apple Computer
I managed a 3-person team supporting all MPU and MCU sourcing activities at Apple, a +$250M
expenditure. I worked with marketing and engineering to assure alignment of product strategies with our
suppliers’ capabilities. I advised Apple’s senior management of competitive issues in the PC MPU
marketplace.
11/88 to 10/97 Memory Component Engineer at Apple
I created the first commodity road map at Apple, with the Memory Design and Sourcing Guide – a
semi-annual report comparing suppliers’ capability, development schedules, speeds, and process technology.
This work guided Apple’s commodity and engineering teams. I represented Apple at the JEDEC meetings. I
chaired various JEDEC committees: 2.5v interface standards, memory cards, SDRAM timing, as well as
representing the USA at IEC.
6/82 to 11/88 Engineer at AMD
I worked in the NVM group in various functions: product engineer, technology development, and
process development. My major accomplishments were creating the process test chip for AMD’s first 1.0u
CMOS ROM process, making SPICE models for ROM circuit designers, and co-developing AMD’s first
Tungsten Silicide process.
