1. *Holiday Project Requirements
* You will need to include the following elements on your Power Point slide:
1. 1 fact about the history of your holiday
2. 2-3 facts about your holiday. Please include when during the year it is
celebrated.
3. 1 picture illustrating your holiday
4. Citation for the facts and picture at the bottom of your slide. If
they’re from the same source, cite the source once. If the
information and picture are from different sources, create a citation
for each source.
* Resources to go to research your holiday:
* TIP: If you use Encyclopedia Britannica, the citation is already made for
you at the bottom of the article. Copy and paste it onto the Power
Point slide (see bottom of example slide).
* You may use Google to find information on a Website. You MUST use
EasyBib to create a citation for the Website.

2. * Labor Day
• The first Labor Day was celebrated in New York
City in 1882.
• It is observed in all 50 states.
and Canada.
• In June 1894 President Grover
Cleveland made Labor Day a national holiday.
• This holiday is often thought of as the last day of
the summer season and it’s celebrated on the first
Monday in September.
