Sherlock Holmes
• Summary: Britain's greatest fictional detective
gets a radical reinvention from director Guy
Ritchie. Played by Robert Downey Jr, he is still a
genius at deduction and a master of disguise,
but now he is also a martial arts master as well,
and the new Dr Watson (Jude Law) is equally at
home as spectacular action races through the
streets of Victorian London and on top of the
unfinished Tower Bridge. As long as you're not a
Holmes purist, this is a fun and funny high-
  energy romp.
• Remember: The FilmClub which posts the
most reviews in February gets an exclusive
  prize!
