1. RACE VIDEO REMIX ! Objective: Using DJ Spookys Concept of “video remix/collage” and the study of the problem of RACE (as seen through the history of black people in the media.) create a 10-15 minute video that deals with a cultural or racial issue.

2. Your video must include: 1. At least three clips from youtube videos.

3. 2. At least 5 minutes of footage from an interview you conduct.

4. 3. 2-5minutes from a video you create in relation to your research .

5. 4. There might also be: a brief animation a song or soundtrack

6. In order to do this we will: 1. Study the history of Blacks in the media. -Sign up for a “gmail” and “blogger” account -Learn how to post on “blogger” -Learn how to convert videos from youtube -Research, watch, save, convert, and respond to many guided videos on youtube.

7. 2. Learn how to interview someone. -Research study and respond to interviews -Learn how to work digital video cameras, and mics. -Invite someone we know to interview them .

8. 3. Turn your study of black people in the media and your guided video research on youtube into a script and your own video .

9. 4. Learn how to gather all these things together and use the “I-movie program to create a remix or video collage.
