2. What is our film about?
• Our film is a horror based around a little girl
(protagonist).
• She has been possessed by an unknown force
which adds to the mystery of the opening.
• There will be an overlay of sound from the song
‘Ring a Rosie’ which is a well known children’s
nursery rhyme. This highlights the little girls
youth and contrasts to the stereotypical
connotation of the song being happy.
3. Who is our film about?
• The plot of our film is based on a young girl,
around 13-15. We decided to use a younger
person to portray this character as children
usually connote innocence and vulnerability
therefore associating her with a horror film is
contrapuntal and emphasises how scary it is.
4. Where will the film be set?
• Our initial idea is the locate the film in a
woods therefore linking it to the title.
• Trees in woods can create unusual shadows
appearing creepy, consequently adding to the
tense atmosphere.
• Due to us only having one character, we will
use shots of the setting as a vital part of the
film to get most of our content.
5. When is the film set?
• The film will be set in present day as the
audience can relate to the character more and
it’s more believable that it could actually
happen to them.
• It will also be easier to film and think about
the mise en scene of the shots because we
won’t have to think about what can’t be in it if
it what set in another time period.
6. Why did we decide on this plot?
• The way the film will open with the family
pictures creates a background for the
character and adds to the storyline.
