1. SYNOPSIS
This project entitled “PUBLIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM” is developed
by using Visual Basic .Net as Front end and the SQL as Back end.
The main objective of this project is to computerized process of public
distribution segment. In this project all family card holder & his family members thumb
impressions are scanned in the bio-metric device. Materials issue using the bio-metric
device. And all data will be stored in the system attached to the bio-metric device.
Highlights of the system
 Diversion of PDS Commodities to the open market, and
 The effectiveness of delivery machinery (coordination, accountability and
Supervision)
 Lack of transparent and accountable arrangements for delivery
