The Mosta Green project aims to address climate change problems and reclaim desert land. It will plant evergreen foliage across the desert to increase rainfall through transpiration and expand green spaces. Drones will autonomously spread seeds collected from restaurant waste and cover the desert between cities. The new plants will be irrigated at night with wastewater. The project will have three phases, covering 100, 200, and then 300 square kilometers of desert land by March 2021 with a budget of 200,000 Moroccan dirhams.
