State investment in Catalonia
planned for 2015: € 1.072 bn
Compensation to ACS Group
for their withdrawal from the Castor
gas storage project: € 1.35 bn
Having suffered considerable cuts in
the previous year, expenditure in social
services and care for dependent
adults has been suspended.
€ 40 m have been included in the budget to
finance the shuttle train service to Barajas airport.
Madrid has a subway, regional trains and now will
have a shuttle train. Meanwhile, El Prat airport must
seek private ways to finance its transportation.
Active employment policies
receive € 4.7 bn, while in 2010
the investment was € 7.7 bn.
The budget has not taken into
account any of the 23 measures
which were proposed to Rajoy
by President Mas.
The Ministry has frozen its contribution
assigned to Catalonia in culture;
however, budgets allocated to The Prado,
Reina Sofía and The Thyssen have
increased significantly.
Military spending has increased in the annual
budget. The Ministry of Defence has a larger budget
that the Ministry of Public Works and Transport
or than the Ministry of Industry.
In 2015, the State will increase the budget of the
Prado Museum by 9%, which will go onto receive
a total of € 42 m: an amount larger than to sum total
of all the cultural institutions in Catalonia combined.
Transfers in healthcare to
autonomous communities
has been reduced by 56%.
