Steudler (known as Fritz) purchased the Vallorbs JewelCompany less than 2 years after graduating from MillersvilleState Teacher’s College in 1934.Vallorbs manufactured watch bearings, aircraft instrumentation bearingsand sapphire phonograph needles, focusing on precision and quality. In the 1960’s, Vallorbs began manufacturing zircalloy end plugs and other special components for the commercial nuclear industry.The ability to produce precision machined parts gave Fritz and one of hissons, Fred, the idea to develop poultry watering systems.
