Project / Tasks: Development and support of two applications in the area HR Management and
Invoicing & Payment:
- Further development and 2nd level support of an application for Calculation
of prices for all consumer products worldwide to at the level of furniture stores.
In addition to the calculation of the purchase price, the freight costs, customs,
warehousing costs and other markups of each point of sales in the distribution
network are included in the calculation. The calculation runs over batch jobs in
an Oracle Database.
- Development and optimization of a central application to manage data and to
generate invoices for business customers. The application is used in 15
countries by subsidiaries of the commercial enterprise. All purchases of one
day are sent overnight to the system. Then the invoices are created and
forwarded together with the latest customer data through various interfaces
(FTP, web services) to the various accounting systems and to a central
archiving system. The end users can enter through the forms client customer
data and print invoices. New store cards can be captured by the system and
ordered. Account balances of customers from the respective accounting and
daily purchases are transmitted in real time in this system. The credit limit of
Business customers can be exactly calculated, and is accessible to all tills
worldwide and can be queried online from other systems.
