4. Gye Nyame resources is a diamond mining
company operating one of the mines at the
Marange mines in Zimbabwe.
Gye Nyame Resources was established in
2011 when the initial survey and pegging of
the block G concession in Marange resources
was completed. The company is a joint
venture between the Zimbabwe Mining
Development Corporation and Bill Minerals of
Ghana.

5. MISSION STATEMENT
The Private Public Partnership Joint venture of
Gye Nyame Resources has been achieved to
explore, mine and process Ore with the
highest international standard and to the
greatest compliance levels. The company is
committed to demonstrate that an all African
partnership is able to produce, market and
correctly apply the natural resources of the
people to the development of the people's
economy.
6. PARTNERS
The partners in PPP are the Zimbabwe Mining Development
Corporation, ZMDC and Bill Minerals. Bill Minerals is the sole Investor in
the project. William Essien is the President of Bill Minerals
7. OPERATIONS
Gye Nyame is currently operating at 5% capacity . The investors plan to invest
over one hundred million dollars during the next quarter to bring the mine to full
operating capacity.
8. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
Infrastructure development of roads, boreholes ,irrigation systems and other
social amenities facilities
Relocating of families to the new area
Food hampers will be distributed to resettled families as a stop gap measure
until they are able to produce their own food in the new area.
Provision of farming inputs and training of communities on sustainable
farming methods, this will enable communities to increase crop yield and
reduce in food security. The farming project will be reducing dependence of
local communities on the company programs.
Promote self- reliance amongst the communities by training and funding
income generating projects.
Educational support through scholarships, payment of school fess and
refurbishment of schools
Providing health information non communicable and communicable
diseases e.g. HIV awareness and Prevention, family planning, improving
hygiene.
Good environmental management practices education and awareness
9. GYE NYAME RESOURCES KPCS PROGRESS REPORT

• Mining Site
• KPCS requirements have been met on the mining and bulk
sampling area. This has seen the fencing of the bulk
sampling area, installation of security towers and lighting the
area. The area has also been colour coded pink and staff has
code coloured uniforms.
• On ore movement, all dump trucks have been assigned with
equipment codes and a trip (time) record has been put in
place to track their movement. Pit to plant radio monitoring
and communication has also been implemented as a
measure to comply with KPCS
• At the Red Zone where high security is required, installation
of CCTVs is under way with Multi-Link/Securico a contracted
company having already started the work on the 1st of June
2013. Currently under construction are search and rest
rooms at the plant area while the construction of the dual
lock strong room is still

to take place. However a secure entry for dump trucks and code coloured uniforms
for red zone workers has been provided.
• Harare Sorting House
• Renovations at the Chisipite, Harare Head Office building has commenced to
make space for the Diamond Sorting Room. Diamond Sorting Equipment has
already been sourced and awaiting shipment from South Africa.
• For the security of the Sorting House, all windows have been burglar proofed and
CCTV cameras are being installed at the moment. The perimeter wall for the
Head Office premises is now completely electrified.
• Administrative
• Standard operating procedures for Security, Sorting House, SHE and Mine
Recovery have been completed copies of these documents have been sent to the
local KPC monitoring team at ZMDC for reviewing. They can be endorsed after
the review.
• Training on principles of KPC Scheme to all the Gye Nyame staff was facilitated by
ZMDC from the 9 – 14th of June 2013 through their Security, Gemmology and SHE
departments. It was a huge success as it clearly made the staff aware on what
KPCS stands for in as far as preventing Conflict Diamonds is concerned
