Band provides students the opportunity to learn teamwork and develop mentally while having fun playing music. Students take one weekly private lesson and two full band rehearsals each week. Throughout the year there are several concerts for band students to perform in. Regular home practice is important for success in band, with 15 minutes recommended four days a week. Renting or owning an instrument can be done through local music stores, and students should have an instrument selected and ready by September 16th to begin playing in band.
