Work experience:
1991-2004: Electrical Engineer: maintenance of electrical equipment on LNG tankers (Hyproc Shipping Company).
Watch over the good working of:
Boilers, steam turbines and all equipment used in ship propulsion.
Machine and cargo: alarms system (tracing and repairing any failure on the system).
Turbo generators: 3 MW each generator as well as diesel generator and emergency diesel.
Install and repair all kind of alternators and electrical control power as sharing power system, AVR
(automatic voltage regulator),…..etc
Follow and assist Loading and unloading of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) operations and their security
system.
2004- 2012: Electrical engineer as ETO (electro technical officer) in NGSCO (national gas shipping company) in
Abu Dhabi (UAE).
My responsibilities as follow:
Maintenance, repair, and proper running of all electrical equipment such as motors, turbines, heavy and low duties
compressors switchboards, starters, automation, radio equipments, cabling, light fixtures and all cargo equipment as
controllers, check and repair ESD system..Etc.
Curried out and check electrical drawings, modified if it’s necessary
Calibrate and adjust different instruments of measurement as transmitters and controllers.
Run test of emergency diesel generator weekly and check of auxiliaries.
Check and test: cathodic protection system, and grounding protection of the ship.
Maintenance and check all UPS and emergency batteries on board.
Maintain records/stocks of electrical spares and consumable stores and prepare and submit requisitions to the chief
engineer. (Amos business suit 8.4.11).
Keep records regarding all maintenance, both routine and emergency.
In NGSCO Company: I have installed two atlas copco compressors of control air with standby start and full automatic.
I have also developed their managing program.
During dry dock
 Prepare electrical standards and specifics jobs to be done in dry dock staff.
 Request all electrical equipments for a specific job.
 Works with appropriate supplier to identify and coordinate new project.
 Write different request for quotation for all electrical and system equipment and issue them to suppliers.
 Handle interfaces with suppliers or vendors and check all equipments once received on board.
 Follow and ensure that subcontractor’s design in accordance with Vendor’s scope of work and applicable
standards.
 Ensure coordination between owner and all service engineers as well subcontractors.
 Assist to daily meeting with ship manager, chief engineer and super intender
