2. Conflict Script
Based on the conflict resolution skills we discussed in class and in the textbook,
you will prepare a preparation for conflict script based on a real or imagined
organizational situation. Rather than post these to your website, these are to be
turned in in class on Tuesday, April 15th.
Your script should focus on the following:
When: (Give a neutral statement of the facts).
Example: I came into the break room today and someone had taken my last Coke
from the refrigerator
I Felt: (State your feelings without blaming)
Example: angry and frustrated
Because: (Explain your needs or concerns)
Example: I thought we had agreed at our last staff meeting that we would not take
food and drinks that were not ours.
What I'd like: (Describe your general goal or specific request.)
Example: Is to develop a list of ground rules for the break room and get a clearer
commitment from everyone on how we should treat each other and personal
belongings at work.
