The Apache Creation Story Analysis
The Apache Creation Story is a reliving of the creation that takes on a more personal, familial and
dialogue–based approach to how the world and mankind came to be. The story depicts how the
natural environment was created, from the earth itself to the four cardinal points to the clouds, the
animals, and the trees. Because of the nature of the Apache's nomadic life, the legend remains
generalized in terms of its location. Typically the story is told in order to preserve their tribal history
as well as social and instructional purposes. These occasions range from the campfire to rites of
passage to simply a parent teaching their child of their historical identity. The legend of creation is
central to the spiritual practices and beliefs of the Apache, especially when it comes to their
relationship with the natural world. As explained in the first two phrases of the story, "animals,
elements, the solar system, and natural phenomena are revered by the Apaches." By sharing this
story with younger tribe members, the Apache engage them in understanding their traditions. It also
teaches them of the morality they must have and pass on when it comes to nature, as Montejo
mentions (21). It tells of the role of all living beings on earth and the importance of them all working
harmoniously to keep the universe balanced.
The legend is split up into a series of small stanzas that describe the actual life conditions. Following
the two–sentence prelude to the myth, the storyteller introduces

Creation Story
A Christian's higher power, creator, and center of religion: which is God. After my reading I have
found that some of the information that Christians live by is explained differently between the two
creation stories presented in Genesis. While reading I saw what the Bible actually said God created,
and what he asked to be "let" happened. Between the two stories it shows how man was created.
Furthermore, while reading I saw how God is personified within the text. In my opinion God is
personified with both masculine and feminine characteristics. Because in the first story God was
very masculine while he/she was "creating" the earth and being more demanding of things. On the
other hand in the second creations God is very feminine ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He gave sermon on losing the sight of God. He began to say that God was supposed to lead his
people to the land of Canaan. He gave a specific point as to have a heart to follow God. Cheong said
"Don't lose SIGHT of God. You must be determined to follow Him fully. When faced with a
problem, we often hear these words, "I do not know what to do." This is not unusual. Many of us
have similar experiences. But this is not the problem. Even experts, politicians, lawyers, doctors,
experienced surgeons, have to admit this. The problem is really not that "we do not know what to
do", but rather, we "do not do what we know"."
There are many ways to look at the bible. I choose the lenses of Devotional Method. The Devotional
Method is a passage of the bible is read and mediated until the Holy Spirit guides you to an
application of the passage into your life in a way that is personal, practice, passable, and
measureable. I like this method because I feel it gives you the best outlook on God. It grabs and
pulls you into to the lord almighty. Something about Proverbs 3:5–8 is why did people out inside the
bible that we must follow God. I don't question the fact that the bible is a weird book and it basically
contradicts itself. I believe everything in the bible but this verse is one that pops out at

Religion And The Lakotas Creation Story
In every culture people have different creation stories from the ancient Aztecs to modern–day.
Creation stories myths are symbolic since they are narratives of how the world began and how men
were created. These stories or "myths" helped people in the past to explain the world around them
(Long, 2015). However, people often use the term myth to describe these stories since they regarded
as fiction while to some there true. Regardless, to who believes these "myths" but everyone has their
own belief on the origin of the world. There are similarities and differences between different
beliefs. For example, in the Roman catholic faith earth was created by God while in the Lakota it
was the Great Spirit. The differences between the Roman Catholic and the Lakotas creation story

displeased. Than the only survivor the crow asked him to make him a resting place but the Great
Spirit decided to create the world once again. From his pipe bag he choose an otter, turtle, and
beaver and ordered them to get mud to create land ("Lakota Creation," 2014). However, the turtle
was the only one who was able to get the mud and the Great Spirit made land and created oceans out
of his tears then added more animals from his pipe bag. In contrast, in the Roman Catholic bible the
world is created within six days because God created the world. The first three days he separated
day from night, the water from the sky and created land. Than the following three days he created

What Is The Difference Between Creation And Creation Of...
How were human beings created? How has life come to be? How was the earth created? These are
some very important questions that humans have tried to answer for ages. In an attempt to answer
these questions, different cultures around the world developed different beliefs. Some believe that
they are many gods watching over them, while others believe that there is only one supreme God.
Some believe that humans were created by an explosion while others believed that a God or gods
created them. Today, I will be analyzing two different creation stories, Genesis, the Christian
creation story and "The Creation and Emergence" story by the Jicarilla Apaches. While some
differences between the two are evident, the similarities are noticeable. In both creation stories, in
the beginning, there was nothing. There was no humans, animals, or planets. In the story, "The
Creation and the Emergence" it says, "In the beginning, there was nothing–no earth, no living
beings. There was only darkness, water, and Cyclone, the wind. They were no humans but only the
Hactin, the Jicarilla supernatural beings." In the Christian creation story it is stated, "In the
beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness
was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters." So in both of
the stories, in the beginning, there was water and darkness. This shows that Christians and Jicarilla
Apaches believed that the universe was at

Essay on Iroquis Creation Story
Title of work you are analyzing: The Iroquois Creation Story
Author of the work: David Cusick
1. What is the purpose or function of the work? Why was it written? Explain. Be specific. Include
thegenre as well as the reasons it was written.
Even though Cusick considers his work history, it is a myth. The myth discusses the "foundation"
and establishment of the Iroquois world and well as the constant struggle between good and evil. In
the work Cusick describes how the land was formed as well as how the sun, moon, and the starts
were formed by the good mind twin. "The good mind continued the works of creation, and formed
numerous creeks and rivers on the Great Island, and then created numerous species of animals of the
smallest and ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This may require a good bit of analysis for some works. It will be easier for others.
One behavior that is encouraged in this work is the no matter one you should always try to over
come evil. This is evident when the good mind submitted to the bad minds offer to meet to resolve
who would oversee universe once and for all. Even thought the good mind is good he does what
ever is necessary to defeat the bad mind. He does this by getting the bad mind to confess what his
instrument of death was, in the case deer horns.
4. What does the work reveal or illustrate about the culture or society? What attitudes, opinions,
values, beliefs, and practices are reflected in the work? Include evidence and examples from the
work.
The work reveals even though the Iroquois people were not Christians by all means they still
realized that there is still good and evil in the world. They also believe that all evil souls will sink
into eternal doom (hell) and all good souls will "retire" from earth and live in the heavens
overlooking earth. "at last the good mind gained the victory by using the horns, as mentioned the
instrument of death, which he succeeded in deceiving his brother and he crushed him in the earth;
and the last words uttered from the bad mind were, that he would have equal power over the souls of
mankind after death and he sinks down to eternal doom and became the Evil Spirit." (Cusick, The
Iroquois Creations Story. Pg 21)

Genesis Creation Vs. Greek Creation Story
Although the Genesis Creation story and the Greek Creation story come from different believes,
they share some similarities as well as differences. The difference between the creation story of
Genesis and Greek is that the genesis creation of earth is very different. In the creation story of
Greek, before the creation of earth was created there was only empty darkness and NYX, a bird with
black wings. In the beginning of the story in the creation of genesis god created the the heavens and
the earth. In Greek earth was created to furnish Gaia with life. In the Genesis story the god created
the heavens and the earth as an expression of his glory. In the Greek Story NYX's golden egg
created earth. In the genesis creation story god created earth.

Izanami Creation Story
One creation story says that long ago, two gods named Izanagi and Izanami were commanded by the
primal gods to make and solidify the land of Japan. The two gods then threw a spear into the sea.
The mud that dripped from the spear became an island, and there, Izanagi and Izanami built a palace
and married each other. Over time, Izanami gave birth to the islands of Japan and many deities, but
she died giving birth to her last one, who was a fire god. Angry, Izanagi beheaded his son and
followed Izanami to Yomi, the Land of the Dead, urging her to return back with him. Izanami
warned him not to look at her, and went to consult with the gods of Yomi. Growing impatient after
waiting, Izanagi entered into the palace of the gods of Yomi, and saw Izanami. Izanagi fled from
Izanami, only escaping by covering the entrance to Yomi with a large boulder. After, he went to river

This germ began to mix things around until the heavier part sank and the lighter part rose. A muddy
sea that covered the earth was created, and from the sea grew a single green shoot, growing until it
reached the clouds and transformed into a god. This one god created many other gods, two being
Izanagi and Izanami, the most remarkable of them all. One day, Izanagi thrust his staff into the
waters to see what was beneath. When he pulled it up, muddy clumps fell back into the ocean. These
clumps hardened until they became the islands of Japan. Izanagi and Izanami got married there later.
The first child that Izanami bore had radiant beauty. The gods decided that she was too pretty to live
in Japan, so they sent her to the sky where she became the sun. Their second daughter, Tsuki–yami,
became the moon, and their third and unruly son, Sosano–wo, was sentenced to sea where he
created storms. Later, their first child, Amaterasu, gave birth to a son who became the first emperor

Example Of Creation Stories
Every tribe, nation, or group of people has their own creation story. Many of the stories have similar
elements, but each story has key characteristics that make it unique. Numerous people are puzzled
by the need for origin stories. The truth is that these stories are necessary, because they give people
answers to the many questions they have about the world and themselves. The stories also give
people a perception of cause and effect. For example, in the Navajo creation myth, adultery and
other sinful acts caused many of the worlds to be destroyed by floods. This cause and effect example
portrays morality and its significance. Another similar aspect of the creation myths is the
prominence placed on a higher power. These beings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Christians, however, believe differently. While the Christian origin story is similar to the Navajo's in
that they both believe that nature is beautiful, Christians do not believe that humans came from
nature itself or by the help of nature. In these creation stories, God, the higher power, created
everything from darkness, a common theme among origin stories (The English Standard Version
Bible, Genesis 1:2). Christians believe that God created humans separately from the rest of nature,
and that God set them above the plants and animals. This distinction was made to give humans the
role of protectors of nature. "Let [man] have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of
the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps
on the Earth" (Genesis 1:26). Adam, the first man in the Christian creation story, was tasked with
naming and caring for all of the animals. On the contrary, the Ních'I Dine'é knew of their names
before the arrival of humans.
Additionally, humans can similarly trace their beginnings to nature. For the Navajo, the first man
and woman were made from corn by the Holy People. For Christians, Adam was made from the
dust, and Eve, the first woman, was made from one of Adam's ribs. Both of these stories show that
humans come from the earth and are one with the earth. There is, however, a distinction between the
appearance of humans and the rest of

detail of the creation of the earth and all the inhabit it and the second chapter has a lot of the same
info but with more detail about the creation of man and les about earth. The two creation stories may
share a few similarities but they also have some differences the creation of earth includes humans on
the sixth day they were created along with animals. Humans were a shining achievement on the list
of things that god created in those six days but it wasn't the only thing on that list and on the 7 day
he looked back on all his work with pride and sacrificed the seven days in honor of his hard work.
The second chapter of genesis has an opposite focus from the first it leaves the details of the creation
of earth by the weigh side and focuses on the detail of the beginning of man. The story of Adam and
his creation paints a different picture of the absolute beginning of life as it is today details that just
don't exist in the first chapter of genesis. Adam was appointed by god to name all his new creation
Adam named them all and at that point came to realization that god had yet to create an equal to him
so then god took a rib from Adam and created a woman named Eve finally an equal to Adam was
created. Each chapter gives us an insight to different elements of humans and their creation but with
each story comes details that can't be found in the other two different points of view of the same
creation of all things. The two creation stories in the book of Genesis are like

Mayan Creation Stories
Mythology around the World Since the dawn of time, every culture has created stories trying to
explain natural phenomena. These stories, in many cases, defined the way of life in each culture and
make each society distinct from one another. Two examples would be stories of creation from the
Norse and Native Americans and the discovery of fire with the Mayan and Chinese. While these
stories come from different cultures, they share many similarities.
Creation of the World
The Norse mythos' story of creation centers around the tale of Ymir the Giant. In the beginning there
were two planes separated by Ginnungagap, an empty void: Niflheim, a plane of ice, and
Muspelheim, a plane of fire (Short.). Then, formed out of dripping snow, came Ymir ... Show more

The story begins with the Chinese God of Fire, Lu Hsűan. He embodied fire; his cloak, hair, and
beard were red and flame came out of his horse's nose. One Day, he set out to conquer a village.
With a sword of flame, he began attacking the village. He, however was defeated when a princess,
using a cloak of mist and dew, put out his flaming sword and took his fire ("Myths"). While there
are other stories to explain the Chinese discovery of fire, this is the most accepted one as it spanned
the largest time period. Before the discovery of fire in China, people had no way to create light and
cook their foods. Because of this, nights were "black as pit" and they would die young due to
diseases they got from eating only raw food. After the discovery of fire, however, they did not know
how to make it, only that it existed. One day, a young man, later addressed as "Sui", saw massive
woodpeckers drilling into the Sui Wood––the Sui Wood was said to be so large that is spanned
thousands of kilometers across. Sparks started appearing where the woodpeckers were drilling, and
the young man became inspired. He took a small branch from the Sui Wood and started drilling it
into the tree. The branch caught fire and the young man brought it back to his village and was give
the name "Sui", meaning bringer of fire ("Sui Drilling Wood to Make a Fire"). This fire was used to
light the night and to cook foods. The

The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories
Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on
creation stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be
analysed are the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the
emerging story of Thor.
The creation of the world in Islam's perspective begins with Allah–God creating the heavens and the
earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own term
of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he
created the first man–Adam from clay. God then told his angels–including Shayṭān (the devil, who
was the only angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for Shayṭān
who refused to do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and Adam was made
of clay, which caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him from heaven.
Shayṭān then decided to create hell to challenge God's people (humans) and influence them to go
against God and go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created was Eve aka Hawwa that
came from Adam's right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same nature and soul. Before Adam
and Eve lived on earth, Jinns (Allah's creation of spirits, similar to genies) used to live on planet
earth. Adam and Eve were banished to earth after eating a forbidden fruit that the devil influenced
them to eat.

Creation Story And Creation : The Creation Of The World
At the foundation of almost every culture there's a creation story or myth that explains how the earth
came to be. These stories have an enormous influence on people's lives about how they think about
the world and their place they are surrounded. These stories have been passed down from one
generation to the other for many years. Some stories speak of birth and a supreme being who created
them while others say elements formed them. Where did we came from? And how did we got here?
has been one of the questions that many have asked for thousands of years. For many of us, the
answer remains uncertain, while scientist says that the universe started with a small singularity, then
inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos that we know today (the theory of the Big
Bang), other cultures and religions believes that a supreme being or God created this universe out of
nothing. Despite the different beliefs, they all agree that the universe didn't form itself.
Christians, Jews and Islam religions share a common creation story; however, they differ in some
aspects. For Christians and Jews, believe that God created the universe and everything that
surrounds them. In the book of Genesis, talks about how God created the universe and the world
including all creatures in six days. It also talks about how God created the first man, named Adam,
out of the earth's dust. He then created a female companion out of Adam's rib who was given the
name Eve, meaning mother of all

The Creation Stories And Cultural Characteristics Of The...
There are many different types of stories, some fairy tales and some are origin myths. Within each
story there are different things not seen by just reading the story and not thinking about the deeper
meaning behind it. Such as in origin myths there are cultural characteristics. Cultural characteristics
are the beliefs of a culture in which its society is based off of. These cultural characteristics can be
seen as a blend of beliefs that tie the people to the land around them. This is very evident when
looking at the creation stories of ingenious people. Each culture has different characteristics. For
example the indigenous creation stories called "The Earth on Turtle's Back", "When Grizzlies
Walked Upright", and the Navajo origin legend; all have characteristics of the Native American
culture. Such as the Native American cultural characteristics that you should respect animals, nature,
and elders. Those cultural characteristics are very evident throughout the first two stories. The third
creation story has different cultural characteristics. The story "The Earth on The Turtle's back" has
many cultural characteristics throughout the story. They are there, but they are hidden within story
throughout the text. For example in the text the chief tells his wife that her dreams have power. After
that the chief digs up the tree, and for the Onondaga, they believe that powerful dreams should come
true. Another example of cultural characteristics throughout the text is the

Creation Stories
By studying the various creation stories of different religions, we can learn about what members of
each religion believe. For instance, Christians believe that God created the world in 7 days and all
humans are descendants of Adam and Eve. All of these creation stories are out of the ordinary and
are extremely different from what happens in the world today. The creation stories are very limited
in their explanations, and fail to explain the creation of anything aside from the earth. They do not
explain the stars, planets, and galaxies we are knowledgeable about today. As human's knowledge of
the world increases, it becomes more and more difficult to believe in the creation stories and the
ideas associated with various religions. Creation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This directly relates to the fact that humans are naive. Without little or no proof, humans are inclined
to believe what a relative tells them. For example, parents tell their children what is wrong and right,
what to believe and not to believe in, and their children believe it. According to the packet about
Creation Stories, Muslims believe in Adam and Eve, and how they ate a certain fruit and were exiled
from paradise, and their children believe it. Muslims tell other people about the creation story and
suddenly, other people believe in the story too. It is the same case for Christians, Buddhists, Jews,
and all other religions. Humans believe in what others tell them, which is why religion spread
quickly and is so prominent in the world today. In the article by Baggini, he says that humans need
something to bridge a gap, so they will believe whatever to fit the gap. Nowadays, humans have a
lot of knowledge on how science thinks the earth and everything else was created, and it has proof.
However, it is a relatively new idea that does not have as many "followers" as religion does.
Religion along with their creation stories prevails simply because humans continue to spread the
ideas and other humans continue to believe

Essay Comparing Creation Stories
Each creation story highlights the most important aspects of the cultures that wrote them. Not only
do they show the values of the people, but they can give us an insight into how these cultures might
have been. Comparing the Atra–hasis, Rig Veda, Genesis, Yijing, and Popol Vuh has uncovered
many distinct themes when focusing on the time and place the creation story occurred. Patterns
found in creation stories from different parts of the world show how similar human beings are.
Creation stories told in the same time period as each other expose many parallels. The Rig Veda and

creation stories follow a cyclical creation process and it can ... Show more content on

In the Atra–hasis the entire reason for man to exist is to do the work of the lesser gods, however, by
the time the Yijing was copied down, there was nothing humans had to do in return to their
divinities. Time reveals many relationships and patterns between creation stories. Creation stories
written great time periods away from one another are shown to be very different. Our earliest
creation story, the Atra–hasis and a more recent one, the Yijing were written centuries away from
one another, this can be proved by the beliefs of the people. The Atra–hasis told its people to
worship the gods and complete their tasks whereas the Yijing only described how man could utilize
the earth for further development. Similarly, the Atra–hasis and Rig Veda have the same differences.
When written in different time periods, creation stories do vary. When written in the same area as
one another, creation stories share many common ideas. The creation stories which took place in
Eurasia, the Atra–hasis, Rig Veda, Genesis, and the Yijing, all mention or imply patriarchy. Whether
it be in male gods or the way in which males and females are placed in order, patriarchy was
common in this part of the world. Though agriculture was typical in the Americas, only the creation
stories which occurred in Eurasia made a point of mentioning it. The western side of Eurasia is
where the cultures that wrote Atra–hasis and Genesis could be found. These two stories are both
linear and humans

MiMaq Creation Story Analysis
Mi'kmaq and Abenaki people use their creation stories to tell how things came to be in the world.
These traditional stories are shared from generation to generation to help natives help define who
they are as a unique group of people. Art, sculptures, carvings, songs, stories, and spiritual rituals are
all ways where both native groups celebrate their culture and tell their creation story.
Mi'kmaq
The Mi'kmaq people live primarily in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. The
Mi'kmaq people have a tremendous amount of respect for their elders who give them wisdom about
the world around them.
Mi'kmaq Creation Story Summary
The Mi'kmaq's believed that all animals, plants, and birds were placed on the surface by the creator.
The creation took seven stages:
Stage 1 – Gisoolg, the great spirit created everything in the world according to the Mi'kmaq creation
story. Gisoolg is represented by the sky and is reflected in all aspects of life.
Stage 2 – The sun "Nisgam" created life. The sun connects the spirit world to the physical world.
Stage 3 – The third level of creation was on the surface of mother Earth. The drumbeat represents
the heartbeat of the earth. Mother Earth gives rise to people.
Stage 4 – Gisoolg caused a lightning bolt to hit the ground creating the image of a human, shaped
out of sand. After unleashing another bolt of lightning the human sculpture came to life and
Glooscap, the first human, was created. Glooscap was stuck in the ground watching the world
happen around him until a third lightning struck and released him from the ground. He explored the
land but returned to the east where he was created. An eagle visited him and tells him he will soon
be joined by his family who will help him understand the world around him.
Stage 5 – Glooscap's grandmother is born from a rock to teach respect and knowledge about the
wind stars, seasons, plants, animals, and tides.
Stage 6 – Gooslcap's nephew is created as a gift from the ancestors, to offer visions of the future.
Stage 7 – Gooslcap's mother is created from a leaf. She brought the gift of color, understanding, and
love.

The Creation Of The Iroquois Creation Story
The Iroquois Creation Story is set before the existence of humans as we know them, but not absent
of a physical place, or other beings. The Iroquois Creation Story has a very supernatural setting with
many mythical and magical elements. The first lines of the story stated, "Among the ancients there
were two worlds in existence. The lower world was in great darkness; – the possession of the great
monster; but the upper world was inhabited by mankind." The physical setting starts out in in the
upper world, but changes to the lower world when, as stated in the story, the mattress the woman
laid on "sunk down towards the dark world." Eventually the setting changes one more time when the
mattress landed on the back of a turtle, and eventually changed in to an island. "While holding her,
the turtle increased every moment and became a considerable island of earth." The inhabitants of
these settings are just as enigmatic as the actual setting. Mankind inhabited the upper world we
know but the lower world was "the possession of the great monster". The monsters of the lower
world are never described, except we know for sure that there was a turtle where the woman came to
rest. Eventually the inhabitants of the lower world would include Enigonhahetgea and Enigorio,
who would go on to transform the setting even more. Unlike The Iroquois Creation Story, chapter III
of The Last of the Mohicans is set in a more realistic environment. There are no supernatural
elements. The author

The Creation Of A Creation Story
A creation story is a supernatural story or explanation that describes the beginnings of humanity,
earth, life, and the universe. Religion plays a significant role in the establishment of Creation for
both the Native Americans and the Puritans. "The people known collectively as the Iroquois were
made up of the Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, Onondaga, and Cayuga nations." (Cusick 21) "The
Iroquois creation myth exists in some twenty–five versions." (Cusick 22). However, there was no
concrete indication from a Native American that coincides with the Iroquois's belief as of how and
when the creation of the world began until David Cusick, transcribed and translated an Iroquois
cosmogonic myth in the nineteenth century. David Cusick became the first Native American to
record on Atotarho. Grounded in nature the Iroquois religion portrays the natural foundations of the
world and continue to believe that all things/people should live in harmony. The Iroquois believes
that The Great Spirit would indirectly guide the lives of ordinary people and opposed that The Great
Spirit and other forces of good were Evil Spirit and other lesser spirits responsible for disease and
other misfortune. Corn, beans, and squash were referred to as the three sisters and thought of as
deities or spiritual beings. The Iroquois believed that ordinary humans could not communicate
directly with Great Spirit but could do so indirectly by burning tobacco, which carried their prayers
to the lesser spirits

Comparing Two Creation Stories
The book of genesis is an important part of the sacred Christian writings of the bible, has received a
lot of examination and assumption over the years. The 2 creation stories from genesis 1 and 2 were
written or orally passed down around 1445 BC. It is believed by many conservative scholars to the
present day, that genesis was written by Moses. Both stories give insight into their different views of
God as well as two different ways of interpreting the story. Comparing the two different versions of
the creation story I am going to be analysing these two sacred texts with research from historical
information. Doing this will let us recognise not only the similarities but the differences in these
stories. These two creation stories fluctuate in genre and include different legendary features. The
first genesis creation story has been written in a poetic form and has repetitive rhyming to propose
that the story was meant to be sung. In Genesis one the recurrence of the phrases "and it was so" and
"and god saw that it was good" indicate that the rhyme or song is coming to an end. The second

will be discussing two of them. We will be comparing and contrasting the bible's story of creation
and the native american story of creation. First we will be contrasting them. These story start very
differently off the bat one with god making everything from nothing and in the other a woman made
only the earth and she made it from earth and that brings us to our greatest difference between the
two stories. In the bible story there is an all powerful god doing everything as for in the native
american one it is quite frankly a normal human making the earth and her family making everything
that comes after. Lets move on to the next difference. We

Analysis Of The Anishinabe Creation Story
A society's view of their origin is vital to influencing the traditions and values that that society hold
as important. Creation stories are the backbone to any religion or culture; The Anishinabe people are
no exception to this phenomenon. Their creation story offers great insight into why their people
acted a certain way and what they believed their relationship was to the world. A close analysis of
the Anishinabe Creation Story explains certain aspects of the Anishinabe people, such as their
patrilineal society and belief that humans were the greatest being created by The Great Spirit, which
would otherwise be seen as a mystery by most people. These aspects, and many else, become more
evident as we begin to read and evaluate the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Great Spirit's vision was of a world of complexity, one where beginnings and ends, happiness
and sorrow, and creation and destruction would simultaneously occur. It is impossible to fathom
how one could rationalize creating something only for it to be transformed from its original status.
However, the Great Spirit was performing that very task. He knew that the world he was creating
would be filled with both good and evil, but he decided that his vision, even if it would become
imperfect, would come to life.
The next four paragraphs describe the Great Spirit's creation of the physical world. It is here that the
story states the Great Spirit "created the...sun, stars, moon...and [on] earth [he] formed mountains,
valleys, plains, islands, lakes, bays, and rivers" (Johnston). The Great Spirit's vision has begun to
take form in the physical realm as described in these paragraphs. While these paragraphs describe
the gifts that the Great Spirit gave to certain entities of the Earth, the most profound statement
during this phase of the story can be found in the fifth paragraph. Upon finishing the creation of the
physical world, the story simply states that, "Everything was in its place; everything was beautiful"
(Johnston). While this line can seem easy to read over, its meaning is very significant. By describing
the world as beautiful, the story implies that The Great Spirit is satisfied with his work, finding it to
be in accordance with his

A Comparison Of Two Creation Stories
After reading the assignments I'm am left with many questions referring to the two depictions of the
creation of us and earth. There are many differences between the two "creation" stories. I will go
into the differences between the two stories. There are big differences between the two, like the
order of the things being created. Then I will go into my reaction of what I remember of the two
creation stories and what the distinct differences of the two. Like the order of creations being
created. Then I will talk about what I learned and any insight I was given after reading them again.
Like before reading I thought they both went along with each other. But after reading realizing they
were separate accounts of the start of the earth and humans. ... Show more content on

When I was younger, I thought that the seven day story was the first part of how the earth came to.
Then the Adam and Eve was the second part. Like in the first one they say the animals were created
but not how the animals got their names, but the second story does. Also realizing that my five year
old self forgot a lot about the two. Like I didn't know that Eve was created from Adams rib. If I had
to try to explain to someone how and when the Earth and everything else was created is not easy to
do. The "How" wouldn't be very difficult but the "when" still would give me some difficulties. I
would use the seven days to creation most likely to explain how everthing got here with bits of the
"Adam and Eve" story. But by just reading the two creation stories I would have great difficulty
explaining when the earth was created.
I have learned bunches of information reading the two creation stories. Like they were two separate
accounts of the creation of earth not just sections. The major differences of the two were more than I
remember from when I was a small boy. Also how difficult it would be to try to explain to someone
when the world got here, and the easier part of telling how it got here. This assignment was one I
enjoyed and learned a great deal on even though it wasn't along

Iroquois Creation Story Analysis
All cultures across the world have different myths meant to explain the way in which everything
was created. Members of the cultures, therefore, come up with their creation stories that tend to
describe the creation of mankind, as well as the things around them. Additionally, through the use of
relevant themes, the stories are told in a way that explains mysterious phenomena in the society,
provide lessons to listeners and emphasize life aspects that each society finds important. As a result,
myths such as the Iroquois and the Biblical creation stories, though extremely different, contain
specific themes that, to some extent, show particular similarities.

According to the Iroquois creation story, darkness lies in the sea since the monsters mentioned in the
myth are sea creatures. After this instance, the story continues to the birth of the two twins, one
being holly and the other evil. According to the story, the good child was known as Enigorio while
the bad child was called Enigonhahetgea. During the birth of the children, the mother died, and
therefore, the children grow up on their own. As time went by, the good child developed the urge of
making the world a brighter place by removing its darkness. Contrarily, the evil child wanted the
earth to remain in its original state. Nevertheless, with the aim of accomplishing his mission, the
good child took the head of their deceased mother and put it in the sky to form the sun. He then took
the rest of her body and used it to make the moon. This, therefore, gives an explanation as to why

Creation Myths Compare And Differences Of Creation Stories
Creation Myths Compare and Contrast Essay For thousands of years, scientists have tried to
interpret the concept of creation. However, before people had access to modern scientific equipment,
they told creations stories. A creation story is a myth that explains how and why the earth was made.
A few cultures with differing opinions on creation are Europeans, Cherokee Indians, West Africans,
and Hawaiians. Europeans tell the story of Genesis and God creating the earth in seven days and
Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Cherokee Indians believe that the earth was created by a
water beetle. In West African culture, they teach the Golden Chain story, and Hawaiians have the
Kumulipo story to explain their beliefs on creation. Although each story follows a basic guideline,
they all have distinct disparities. Throughout the plot of these four creation stories, it is visible that
each culture has varying beliefs on how land was developed. For example, Cherokee Indians
conclude that land was created by a water beetle who sculpted soft mud, where as Hawaiians believe
that land emerged from the slime in the ocean. Both Europeans and West Africans teach that a
supreme being used his or her powers to form land. In Genesis, God was responsible for the land,
whereas in the Golden Chain story, a creature called Obatala was deemed accountable for creating
the land. One similarity betweens these stories is that they all begin in an almost identical setting. In
every myth except for

Summary Of The Ojibway Creation Story
The Ojibway creation story portrays the ecological purpose of "apprehending your dwelling place."
The Original Man was able to apprehend his dwelling place by living in harmony with the rest of
creation on Earth. Later on, the tribes that originated from the Original Man began to fight one
another over land and disrespected the living things of Earth. Since the people were no longer
apprehending their dwelling place, Kitchi–Manitou sent a flood to purify the Earth. New land was
created when Nanaboozhoo worked with the animals to retrieve earth from deep beneath the flood
waters. The cooperation of humans and animals is a critical part of apprehension and allowed for a
new dwelling place to be created.

creating perfect harmony; this pleased Taiowa. Sotuknang then created Kokyangwuti. She was also

the world with noise and joy. First she created land, plants, and animals. Again Taiowa was very

Comparing Two Creation Stories
The Bible begins with a story of creation, but not just one, two creations stories are existent. In each
story God is there to bring creation and give understanding in the differences between divine and
unholy. The bible's first two chapters are the creation stories found in Genesis 1 and Genesis 2.
From Gods spirit came creation and from his word came the creation on earth. In each story there
are major differences but they also have great similarities. In chapter 1 of genesis the story begins
with the seven days of creation, but in chapter two of genesis story is based on of Adam and Eve.
The first story of creation spanning from genesis 1:1 to genesis 2:4 unpack the creation of the earth
in a time of seven days. Genesis 1 opens introducing the fact that God created heaven and earth.
This was the first understanding of his divinity by him being able to create something pure. The first
creation story could only be backed by faith because there was no man around to witness it but God.

the faith of God. Even within the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

and when was the first creation in the Bible. Essentially the it all was creation, but it all given in a
different view. Also God is still present as the creator no matter how it's viewed. The purpose of the
Bible creation stories was not for moral purpose but spiritual revaluation, because in each story are
lessons one can deeper understand and carry into their lives everyday. Small lessons such as
knowing God created you and took pride in it are lessons the first bible gives and are very

The Creation Of Genesis : The Genesis Story Of Creation
The Genesis account of creation is written with beautiful, almost lyrical, scripture. It begins with the
first seven days of creation where God created the heavens and the Earth. He split the oceans and
the land, as well as created all the many creatures on our planet. The message of the bible very much
depends on interpretation, the wording was filled with rhythm. For example, at the end of each
sentence in the beginning of chapter one, it has many phrase repeats but they sound lyrical. On day
one, "God said" (Gen:1 vs.3) "it was good." (Gen:1 vs. 4). On day two, "God said" (Gen:1 vs.6) "it
was so" (Gen:1 vs. 7). These phrases repeat and overall form a kindly written scripture. In Genesis
one, God's official name is Elohim. He created the heavens and man. And made man rule over the
created order of the Earth. Not only as the rulers but also as the care–takers, which hints at telling
humans to protect the environment, as it is our job given by God Himself. Further on into Genesis,
the story focuses more on Adam and Eve. God created Adam as a whole human being. Adam was
split by God and the other equal half became Eve. The author of Genesis wants to stress the equality
between man and woman. With Eve, Adam could have his other half to relationship with. The
author's focus on equality between man and woman is one of the biggest take–aways from these
accounts of creation. "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh" (Gen 2:23). Marriage
allows for man and woman to

Comparing Three Creation Stories
One of biggest mysteries that people have been trying to answer for centuries is, "How was the earth
created?" Every culture and religion has a different story that attempts to describe how we came to
be. When we pick different creation stories from cultures and religions it's interesting to see what
similarities and differences arise. This paper will analyze some of the similar and different aspects of
three different creation stories. The first creation story is described in the Bible in Genesis 1–2:3, the
second in Genesis 2:4–24, and the third is the creation story of the Kono people of Guinea called
Death, and Life and Death.
It's fascinating that each creation story hints at a common purpose for humans. In Genesis 1, humans

In Genesis 1, the creating power, God, creates plants on day three of the six days of creation. Living
creatures (excluding humans) were created on the fifth and sixth days (ESV Gen 1:11–25). In the
Genesis 2 creation account, the Lord God plants the Garden of Eden after he creates the man. He
then creates animals in the same way he created the man and the man names all the animals (ESV
Gen 2:7–20). In Death, and Life and Death, the god Alatangana consolidates the earth from mud,
creates plants to cover the earth, and then creates animals to live on it ("Death, and Life and Death").
The creating power in Genesis 1 is referred to as "God" (ESV Gen 1:1–31; 2:1–3). What's
interesting is that in Genesis 2, each time the creating power is referenced; he is referred to as "the
Lord God" (ESV Gen. 2:4–25). Christians believe that "God" and "the Lord God" are the same
being, but it's interesting that they aren't described with the same name. Still, both Genesis accounts
creating powers differ from the Kono people's creation story Death, and Life and Death where the
creator of all living things is named Alatangana and the creator of light and death is named Sa

Are there any similarities in the way that each society explains human origins?
In comparison of the two stories the world started from the idea or ideas of several gods or god–like
spirits. Each story is simplistic yet complex in its own way.
Evidence
 In the beginning of both stories there were many gods or god–like beings that decided to go forth
on vast land and create something they could control or govern. Each world creation was started
from a single god coming forward and starting each chain of events.
 Both creation stories show every god coming together and working for a greater cause. Each god

Iroquois Creation Story Summary
Here we have two stories, both depicting the creation of the world through similar ideas of
storytelling. The differences in both cultures can be seen by simply looking at differences in the
stories. I also think it would be smart if I pointed out that Iroquois was never written down as the
Native American's did not have a written language, thus the story was open to change based on
whoever was telling it. But both stories metaphors are easily understood and not vichyssoise or
perplexing. Other than the obvious fact that these are both creation stories they do not have much in
common. For instance, when the story begins in the Judeo–Christian tale, God creates everything
and time begins. For the Iroquois is feels like time has already been going on for a while and its
more of a creation story just revolving around the earth. You can infer that from the first sentence of
each story. The Judeo–Christian opening line being,"In the beginning God created the heavens and
the earth" whereas the Iroquois starts," At the beginning of time when people came to be on earth."
In the Judeo–Christian story God made everything appear out of nothing but the Iroquois has things
like Animals, Dirt, and Oceans as established things. In the Iroquois the Animals sacrifice
themselves just to get dirt to create the earth. This ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is interesting because in the Judeo–Christian narrative two sons are born as well. Which it
should be pointed out that in both stories, both sons appear to be opposites, almost like good and
evil. That's very prevalent in the Judeo–Christian story because evil deeds are met with punishment
in like the story of Cain and Abel where to Cain's disappointment he was cast out by the vicissitudes
of fate for the murder of his brother. On the other hand the Iroquois never goes in depth on sins or
the idea of punishment and that difference is very noticeable in the Native American

Working Through these and starting with ExNihilo, which means from nothing, Genesis literally

One prevalent theme within multi God cultures is the existence of competition, envy and politicizing
because the structure does not rely on one defined power. Yahweh has no competition for power or

#8 Penelope is the embodiment of the perfect wife because of her undying love, commitment and

Understanding why abstaining for choosing a new husband for 10years as his voyage regrettably

Penelope's home. So there was political pressure as well as the innate pressure of the onslaught of

Comparing Two Creation Stories
There are two different creation stories presented in the chapter of Genesis in the Old testament of
the bible. In the first story God has all dominion and contains supernatural powers. In this creation
story God is masculine and creates everything out of the void in seven days . God has six days of
working and one day to rest. An impression is also given that everything God makes in this story is
"all good". The second creation story explains how The Lord God created man , the Garden of Eden
and the man with a womb. Man and woman are placed into the garden of Eden. The Lord God ,
Elohim Yahweh is a feminine noun. The Lord God then creates plants and made the vegetation
produce. The Lord God creates man and animals as mans initial help meet, then the Lord God
decides to create a man with a womb. Therefor the two creation stories have different names for
God and different ways and order of creation. The audience is essentially being told the same story
(the story of creation) but it is told from different angles.
In the first story God is described as having all dominion , super powers and total dominance and he
creates everything by speaking. However , in the second story God is seen as a worker because he

Essay on Religion, Creation Stories, and Creation Myths
Religion, Creation Stories, and Creation Myths
One of the fundamental questions that religions seek to answer is that of origin. How was man put
on earth? Why and from what was he created? Who created him? What does his creation imply
about the status of human beings? Some or all of these questions are answered by a religion's
creation stories. Every religion's creation myths attempt to give solutions to problems present to that
religious society. Because of this, each religion may have one or more creation stories, each of those
different from one another in the questions they ask and the answers they give.
Genesis
In the Western world, the most well–known creation story is in Genesis (Myth A), in the Old
Testament of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Also in this chapter, man alone was created first, then animals, and then woman – an ordering that
goes against that of Genesis I. Also, instead of creating man and woman together, man was created
first, from the "dust of the ground" after which God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life."
Then, while Adam was sleeping, God took from Adam one of his ribs and created Eve, or woman.
Another difference between the "two" versions of Creation, more noticeable than the afore
mentioned, is in their answer of why man was created. In Genesis I, man was created to rule over all
the animals. In fact, a section of Genesis I:26 reads "and let [man] have dominion over the fish of
the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every
creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." In contrast, Genesis II:5 claims that man was created
because there was no one to "till the ground." The variation in each chapter's answer to why man
was created provides differing implications for the status of mankind. In Genesis I, man is supposed
to be the supreme ruler, while in Genesis II, man was created merely as a servant of the land.
Western religions, when viewing the status of humans, tend to take the first interpretation as
indication of man's role on earth, believing him to be superior to all other species.
Ignoring the inconsistencies, these two chapters seem to complement each other quite well.

Aboriginal Religious Creation Stories
One of the biggest and most controversial questions in life is how was the universe created?
Aboriginal people believe in the dreamtime as there understanding of evolution. But due to
advances in modern science has been able to give us answers to some of the big questions in life by
giving us the facts, however the religious creation stories still play an important role in humankind
as they give life purpose and meaning. I will be testing this thesis further by talking about the
aboriginal cultural connection with their religion, a dreamtime story "the sun mother", science and
its contribution to our understanding of the universe. Then I will undergo an ethnographic study on

The most common scientific explanation of how our universe came to be, is the Big Bang Theory.
Around 13. 8 billion years ago there was no sign of anything apart from darkness. Until astronomer
Edwin Hubble made a remarkable discovery about how the universe was created. Edwin Hubble
hypothesised the matter and energy in the universe was initially condensed in a very small and
infinitely hot mass. A huge explosion, known as the Big Bang, then sent matter and energy
expanding in all directions (Howell, n.d.). As the universe expanded, matter collected into clouds
that began to condense and rotate, forming the forerunners of galaxies. Changes in pressure caused
gas and dust to form distinct clouds. If the mass of material in the cloud was sufficiently
compressed, nuclear reactions began, and the sun and the stars were born (Sciences, n.d.). The
creation story "the sun mother" explains why the universe was created, whereas this differs from the
scientific explanation where it focusses more on how the universe was

Creation Story
The main point of creation story was about the Heavens and the Earth, it also covers how God made
Adam, Eve and all other living creatures in the world. It also covers the relationship between God
and Man and according to the book of Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 27, God actually created man in his
own Image. What I understand is that Man was an Immortal until he ate out of the forbidden fruit. I
think God gave Adam a free spirit to decide for himself what was morally right or wrong.
The Creation story was quite intriguing and very confusing, according to the first verses in the book
of Genesis, God first created the Heavens and the Earth, then created Adam and brought Eve to
existence from Adam's rib. God even warned Adam that he would die the day he eats out of the
forbidden fruit. I am quiet confused, what was the forbidden fruit all about? Why didn't Adam and
Eve die as God promised? In my opinion, Adam and Eve would being an immortal but shortly after
they had eaten the forbidden fruit they became mortal and was chased out of the garden of Eden.
That is how sin came into this world. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

The Value Of A Creation Story
Living in a world with an excessive amount of creation beliefs can become overwhelming in terms
of what to truly believe. Although many creation stories have similarities, they also seem to have a
few differences. There are many individuals who have grown up without a creation story and seem
to question why others may be so passionate towards the beliefs within a creation story. As an
individual coming from a Hispanic background I was introduced the creation story of Adam and
Eve. Like most individuals, this creation story was told to me by many family members and simply
grew up to embrace its teachings. Adam and Eve is a creation story involving the creation of man
and woman who are then presented with a privilege of living in a wonderful garden. With this
privilege given to them both Adam and eve were only given one simple rule to follow. Throughout
the days temptation seemed difficult to push away and eventually both Adam and Eve disobeyed the
only rule they had. Following this incident they encounter what is now known as punishment, and
were both kicked out of the glorious garden to survive. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Creationism : The Story Of Creation And The Creation Of God
Thousands of years that have passed since the creation of man but, there is still controversy on how
old the earth really is and how evolution has changed the planet over time. The story of creation is
an important factor to Christianity because it sets the foundation of its Faith and what Christians
believe in. There are many philosophers that have different points of view on how the earth and
universe were created, but the problem with these beliefs is that none of them can prove how old the
earth truly is. The question that individuals have and cannot seem to find an answer too is: Is the
world is young or old and how can the question be answered?
Old–Earth Secular View
Creationists believe that the Old–Earth theology is based on the first book of the Bible: Genesis
where God had created everything. From a secular point of view, Pierre–Simon Laplace is a good
person to look to for this view since he was a French astronomer and mathematician and he
developed the nebular hypothesis theory. His theory believed that the sun had expanded through the
hot atmosphere and the volume of the Planetary System that would have formed 4.5 billion years
ago and that the Sun and all the planets of our current Solar System all began as a giant molecular
gas and dust cloud that later collapsed causing a shockwave supernova, somewhat of where the "Big
Bang" theory comes from. This theory has impacted the scientific world in such a way that Dr.
Ronald Numbers who is a science

Here are the key similarities and differences between the Genesis creation story and the Greek creation myth:Similarities:- Both involve a supreme creator figure (God in Genesis, Chaos in Greek myth)- Both describe an initial void or formless state before creation begins - Both involve the separation of elements (light/dark, sky/earth, etc.)Differences:- Genesis has a single creator God, while Greek myth has multiple gods involved in creation- In Genesis, God creates in a set order over 6 days, while the Greek process is more chaotic - Genesis portrays creation as a divine plan, Greek myth is more haphazard and driven by conflict between gods- Genesis ends

  • 1. The Apache Creation Story Analysis The Apache Creation Story is a reliving of the creation that takes on a more personal, familial and dialogue–based approach to how the world and mankind came to be. The story depicts how the natural environment was created, from the earth itself to the four cardinal points to the clouds, the animals, and the trees. Because of the nature of the Apache's nomadic life, the legend remains generalized in terms of its location. Typically the story is told in order to preserve their tribal history as well as social and instructional purposes. These occasions range from the campfire to rites of passage to simply a parent teaching their child of their historical identity. The legend of creation is central to the spiritual practices and beliefs of the Apache, especially when it comes to their relationship with the natural world. As explained in the first two phrases of the story, "animals, elements, the solar system, and natural phenomena are revered by the Apaches." By sharing this story with younger tribe members, the Apache engage them in understanding their traditions. It also teaches them of the morality they must have and pass on when it comes to nature, as Montejo mentions (21). It tells of the role of all living beings on earth and the importance of them all working harmoniously to keep the universe balanced. The legend is split up into a series of small stanzas that describe the actual life conditions. Following the two–sentence prelude to the myth, the storyteller introduces ... • 3. Creation Story Research Paper Creation Story A Christian's higher power, creator, and center of religion: which is God. After my reading I have found that some of the information that Christians live by is explained differently between the two creation stories presented in Genesis. While reading I saw what the Bible actually said God created, and what he asked to be "let" happened. Between the two stories it shows how man was created. Furthermore, while reading I saw how God is personified within the text. In my opinion God is personified with both masculine and feminine characteristics. Because in the first story God was very masculine while he/she was "creating" the earth and being more demanding of things. On the other hand in the second creations God is very feminine ... He gave a specific point as to have a heart to follow God. Cheong said "Don't lose SIGHT of God. You must be determined to follow Him fully. When faced with a problem, we often hear these words, "I do not know what to do." This is not unusual. Many of us have similar experiences. But this is not the problem. Even experts, politicians, lawyers, doctors, experienced surgeons, have to admit this. The problem is really not that "we do not know what to do", but rather, we "do not do what we know"." There are many ways to look at the bible. I choose the lenses of Devotional Method. The Devotional Method is a passage of the bible is read and mediated until the Holy Spirit guides you to an application of the passage into your life in a way that is personal, practice, passable, and measureable. I like this method because I feel it gives you the best outlook on God. It grabs and pulls you into to the lord almighty. Something about Proverbs 3:5–8 is why did people out inside the bible that we must follow God. I don't question the fact that the bible is a weird book and it basically contradicts itself. I believe everything in the bible but this verse is one that pops out at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Creation stories myths are symbolic since they are narratives of how the world began and how men were created. These stories or "myths" helped people in the past to explain the world around them (Long, 2015). However, people often use the term myth to describe these stories since they regarded as fiction while to some there true. Regardless, to who believes these "myths" but everyone has their own belief on the origin of the world. There are similarities and differences between different beliefs. For example, in the Roman catholic faith earth was created by God while in the Lakota it was the Great Spirit. However, the turtle was the only one who was able to get the mud and the Great Spirit made land and created oceans out of his tears then added more animals from his pipe bag. • 7. What Is The Difference Between Creation And Creation Of... How were human beings created? How has life come to be? How was the earth created? These are some very important questions that humans have tried to answer for ages. In an attempt to answer these questions, different cultures around the world developed different beliefs. Some believe that they are many gods watching over them, while others believe that there is only one supreme God. Some believe that humans were created by an explosion while others believed that a God or gods created them. Today, I will be analyzing two different creation stories, Genesis, the Christian creation story and "The Creation and Emergence" story by the Jicarilla Apaches. While some differences between the two are evident, the similarities are noticeable. In both creation stories, in the beginning, there was nothing. There was no humans, animals, or planets. In the story, "The Creation and the Emergence" it says, "In the beginning, there was nothing–no earth, no living beings. There was only darkness, water, and Cyclone, the wind. They were no humans but only the Hactin, the Jicarilla supernatural beings." In the Christian creation story it is stated, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the spirit of God was hovering over the waters." So in both of the stories, in the beginning, there was water and darkness. This shows that Christians and Jicarilla Apaches believed that the universe was at ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Why was it written? Explain. Be specific. Include thegenre as well as the reasons it was written. Even though Cusick considers his work history, it is a myth. The myth discusses the "foundation" and establishment of the Iroquois world and well as the constant struggle between good and evil. In the work Cusick describes how the land was formed as well as how the sun, moon, and the starts were formed by the good mind twin. One behavior that is encouraged in this work is the no matter one you should always try to over come evil. This is evident when the good mind submitted to the bad minds offer to meet to resolve who would oversee universe once and for all. Even thought the good mind is good he does what ever is necessary to defeat the bad mind. He does this by getting the bad mind to confess what his instrument of death was, in the case deer horns. 4. What does the work reveal or illustrate about the culture or society? What attitudes, opinions, values, beliefs, and practices are reflected in the work? Include evidence and examples from the work. The work reveals even though the Iroquois people were not Christians by all means they still realized that there is still good and evil in the world. They also believe that all evil souls will sink into eternal doom (hell) and all good souls will "retire" from earth and live in the heavens overlooking earth. "at last the good mind gained the victory by using the horns, as mentioned the instrument of death, which he succeeded in deceiving his brother and he crushed him in the earth; and the last words uttered from the bad mind were, that he would have equal power over the souls of mankind after death and he sinks down to eternal doom and became the Evil Spirit." The two gods then threw a spear into the sea. The mud that dripped from the spear became an island, and there, Izanagi and Izanami built a palace and married each other. Over time, Izanami gave birth to the islands of Japan and many deities, but she died giving birth to her last one, who was a fire god. Angry, Izanagi beheaded his son and followed Izanami to Yomi, the Land of the Dead, urging her to return back with him. Izanami warned him not to look at her, and went to consult with the gods of Yomi. Growing impatient after waiting, Izanagi entered into the palace of the gods of Yomi, and saw Izanami. • 15. Example Of Creation Stories Every tribe, nation, or group of people has their own creation story. Many of the stories have similar elements, but each story has key characteristics that make it unique. Numerous people are puzzled by the need for origin stories. The truth is that these stories are necessary, because they give people answers to the many questions they have about the world and themselves. The stories also give people a perception of cause and effect. For example, in the Navajo creation myth, adultery and other sinful acts caused many of the worlds to be destroyed by floods. This cause and effect example portrays morality and its significance. Another similar aspect of the creation myths is the prominence placed on a higher power. These beings ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Christians, however, believe differently. While the Christian origin story is similar to the Navajo's in that they both believe that nature is beautiful, Christians do not believe that humans came from nature itself or by the help of nature. In these creation stories, God, the higher power, created everything from darkness, a common theme among origin stories (The English Standard Version Bible, Genesis 1:2). Christians believe that God created humans separately from the rest of nature, and that God set them above the plants and animals. This distinction was made to give humans the role of protectors of nature. "Let [man] have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the Earth" (Genesis 1:26). Adam, the first man in the Christian creation story, was tasked with naming and caring for all of the animals. On the contrary, the Ních'I Dine'é knew of their names before the arrival of humans. Additionally, humans can similarly trace their beginnings to nature. For the Navajo, the first man and woman were made from corn by the Holy People. For Christians, Adam was made from the dust, and Eve, the first woman, was made from one of Adam's ribs. Both of these stories show that humans come from the earth and are one with the earth. The Creation Story : Creation And The Creation Of Earth detail of the creation of the earth and all the inhabit it and the second chapter has a lot of the same info but with more detail about the creation of man and les about earth. The two creation stories may share a few similarities but they also have some differences the creation of earth includes humans on the sixth day they were created along with animals. Humans were a shining achievement on the list of things that god created in those six days but it wasn't the only thing on that list and on the 7 day he looked back on all his work with pride and sacrificed the seven days in honor of his hard work. The second chapter of genesis has an opposite focus from the first it leaves the details of the creation of earth by the weigh side and focuses on the detail of the beginning of man. The story of Adam and his creation paints a different picture of the absolute beginning of life as it is today details that just don't exist in the first chapter of genesis. Adam was appointed by god to name all his new creation Adam named them all and at that point came to realization that god had yet to create an equal to him so then god took a rib from Adam and created a woman named Eve finally an equal to Adam was created. Each chapter gives us an insight to different elements of humans and their creation but with each story comes details that can't be found in the other two different points of view of the same creation of all things. These stories, in many cases, defined the way of life in each culture and make each society distinct from one another. Two examples would be stories of creation from the Norse and Native Americans and the discovery of fire with the Mayan and Chinese. While these stories come from different cultures, they share many similarities. Creation of the World The Norse mythos' story of creation centers around the tale of Ymir the Giant. In the beginning there were two planes separated by Ginnungagap, an empty void: Niflheim, a plane of ice, and Muspelheim, a plane of fire (Short.). Then, formed out of dripping snow, came Ymir ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The story begins with the Chinese God of Fire, Lu Hsűan. He embodied fire; his cloak, hair, and beard were red and flame came out of his horse's nose. One Day, he set out to conquer a village. With a sword of flame, he began attacking the village. He, however was defeated when a princess, using a cloak of mist and dew, put out his flaming sword and took his fire ("Myths"). While there are other stories to explain the Chinese discovery of fire, this is the most accepted one as it spanned the largest time period. Before the discovery of fire in China, people had no way to create light and cook their foods. Because of this, nights were "black as pit" and they would die young due to diseases they got from eating only raw food. After the discovery of fire, however, they did not know how to make it, only that it existed. One day, a young man, later addressed as "Sui", saw massive woodpeckers drilling into the Sui Wood––the Sui Wood was said to be so large that is spanned thousands of kilometers across. Sparks started appearing where the woodpeckers were drilling, and the young man became inspired. He took a small branch from the Sui Wood and started drilling it into the tree. The branch caught fire and the young man brought it back to his village and was give the name "Sui", meaning bringer of fire ("Sui Drilling Wood to Make a Fire"). • 21. The Creation Story Of Islam And The Three Creation Stories Everyone has their perspective on how the universe came to be; their beliefs are all based on creation stories that have passed down through generations. The three creation stories that will be analysed are the modern Islamic creation story, the indigenous Maori creation myth and the emerging story of Thor. The creation of the world in Islam's perspective begins with Allah–God creating the heavens and the earth all within six days. He then created the sun, the moon and the planets with each their own term of existence. Allah created the entire universe with water as well as animals. After doing so, he created the first man–Adam from clay. God then told his angels–including Shayṭān (the devil, who was the only angel made of fire) to bow down to Adam. All of the angels obeyed except for Shayṭān who refused to do so, claiming that he was more powerful because he was fire and Adam was made of clay, which caused Allah to become conflicted with the devil thus banishing him from heaven. Shayṭān then decided to create hell to challenge God's people (humans) and influence them to go against God and go to hell instead of heaven. The second human created was Eve aka Hawwa that came from Adam's right rib, she was a mate for him that had the same nature and soul. Before Adam and Eve lived on earth, Jinns (Allah's creation of spirits, similar to genies) used to live on planet earth. Adam and Eve were banished to earth after eating a forbidden fruit that the devil influenced them to eat. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 23. Creation Story And Creation : The Creation Of The World At the foundation of almost every culture there's a creation story or myth that explains how the earth came to be. These stories have an enormous influence on people's lives about how they think about the world and their place they are surrounded. These stories have been passed down from one generation to the other for many years. Some stories speak of birth and a supreme being who created them while others say elements formed them. Where did we came from? And how did we got here? has been one of the questions that many have asked for thousands of years. For many of us, the answer remains uncertain, while scientist says that the universe started with a small singularity, then inflated over the next 13.8 billion years to the cosmos that we know today (the theory of the Big Bang), other cultures and religions believes that a supreme being or God created this universe out of nothing. Despite the different beliefs, they all agree that the universe didn't form itself. Christians, Jews and Islam religions share a common creation story; however, they differ in some aspects. For Christians and Jews, believe that God created the universe and everything that surrounds them. In the book of Genesis, talks about how God created the universe and the world including all creatures in six days. It also talks about how God created the first man, named Adam, out of the earth's dust. He then created a female companion out of Adam's rib who was given the name Eve, meaning mother of all ... • 25. The Creation Stories And Cultural Characteristics Of The... There are many different types of stories, some fairy tales and some are origin myths. Within each story there are different things not seen by just reading the story and not thinking about the deeper meaning behind it. Such as in origin myths there are cultural characteristics. Cultural characteristics are the beliefs of a culture in which its society is based off of. These cultural characteristics can be seen as a blend of beliefs that tie the people to the land around them. This is very evident when looking at the creation stories of ingenious people. Each culture has different characteristics. For example the indigenous creation stories called "The Earth on Turtle's Back", "When Grizzlies Walked Upright", and the Navajo origin legend; all have characteristics of the Native American culture. Such as the Native American cultural characteristics that you should respect animals, nature, and elders. Those cultural characteristics are very evident throughout the first two stories. The third creation story has different cultural characteristics. The story "The Earth on The Turtle's back" has many cultural characteristics throughout the story. They are there, but they are hidden within story throughout the text. For example in the text the chief tells his wife that her dreams have power. • 27. Creation Stories By studying the various creation stories of different religions, we can learn about what members of each religion believe. For instance, Christians believe that God created the world in 7 days and all humans are descendants of Adam and Eve. All of these creation stories are out of the ordinary and are extremely different from what happens in the world today. The creation stories are very limited in their explanations, and fail to explain the creation of anything aside from the earth. They do not explain the stars, planets, and galaxies we are knowledgeable about today. As human's knowledge of the world increases, it becomes more and more difficult to believe in the creation stories and the ideas associated with various religions. Creation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This directly relates to the fact that humans are naive. Without little or no proof, humans are inclined to believe what a relative tells them. For example, parents tell their children what is wrong and right, what to believe and not to believe in, and their children believe it. According to the packet about Creation Stories, Muslims believe in Adam and Eve, and how they ate a certain fruit and were exiled from paradise, and their children believe it. Muslims tell other people about the creation story and suddenly, other people believe in the story too. It is the same case for Christians, Buddhists, Jews, and all other religions. Humans believe in what others tell them, which is why religion spread quickly and is so prominent in the world today. In the article by Baggini, he says that humans need something to bridge a gap, so they will believe whatever to fit the gap. Nowadays, humans have a lot of knowledge on how science thinks the earth and everything else was created, and it has proof. However, it is a relatively new idea that does not have as many "followers" as religion does. Religion along with their creation stories prevails simply because humans continue to spread the ideas and other humans continue to believe ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Not only do they show the values of the people, but they can give us an insight into how these cultures might have been. Comparing the Atra–hasis, Rig Veda, Genesis, Yijing, and Popol Vuh has uncovered many distinct themes when focusing on the time and place the creation story occurred. Patterns found in creation stories from different parts of the world show how similar human beings are. Creation stories told in the same time period as each other expose many parallels. The Rig Veda and the Yijing, written within 400 years of one another, have many fascinating similarities. Firstly, both creation stories follow a cyclical creation process and it can ... In the Atra–hasis the entire reason for man to exist is to do the work of the lesser gods, however, by the time the Yijing was copied down, there was nothing humans had to do in return to their divinities. Our earliest creation story, the Atra–hasis and a more recent one, the Yijing were written centuries away from one another, this can be proved by the beliefs of the people. The Atra–hasis told its people to worship the gods and complete their tasks whereas the Yijing only described how man could utilize the earth for further development. Similarly, the Atra–hasis and Rig Veda have the same differences. When written in different time periods, creation stories do vary. When written in the same area as one another, creation stories share many common ideas. The creation stories which took place in Eurasia, the Atra–hasis, Rig Veda, Genesis, and the Yijing, all mention or imply patriarchy. Whether it be in male gods or the way in which males and females are placed in order, patriarchy was common in this part of the world. Though agriculture was typical in the Americas, only the creation stories which occurred in Eurasia made a point of mentioning it. • 35. The Creation Of The Iroquois Creation Story The Iroquois Creation Story is set before the existence of humans as we know them, but not absent of a physical place, or other beings. The Iroquois Creation Story has a very supernatural setting with many mythical and magical elements. The first lines of the story stated, "Among the ancients there were two worlds in existence. The lower world was in great darkness; – the possession of the great monster; but the upper world was inhabited by mankind." The physical setting starts out in in the upper world, but changes to the lower world when, as stated in the story, the mattress the woman laid on "sunk down towards the dark world." Eventually the setting changes one more time when the mattress landed on the back of a turtle, and eventually changed in to an island. "While holding her, the turtle increased every moment and became a considerable island of earth." The inhabitants of these settings are just as enigmatic as the actual setting. Mankind inhabited the upper world we know but the lower world was "the possession of the great monster". The monsters of the lower world are never described, except we know for sure that there was a turtle where the woman came to rest. Eventually the inhabitants of the lower world would include Enigonhahetgea and Enigorio, who would go on to transform the setting even more. Unlike The Iroquois Creation Story, chapter III of The Last of the Mohicans is set in a more realistic environment. There are no supernatural elements. The author ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. The Creation Of A Creation Story A creation story is a supernatural story or explanation that describes the beginnings of humanity, earth, life, and the universe. Religion plays a significant role in the establishment of Creation for both the Native Americans and the Puritans. "The people known collectively as the Iroquois were made up of the Mohawk, Seneca, Oneida, Onondaga, and Cayuga nations." (Cusick 21) "The Iroquois creation myth exists in some twenty–five versions." (Cusick 22). However, there was no concrete indication from a Native American that coincides with the Iroquois's belief as of how and when the creation of the world began until David Cusick, transcribed and translated an Iroquois cosmogonic myth in the nineteenth century. David Cusick became the first Native American to record on Atotarho. Grounded in nature the Iroquois religion portrays the natural foundations of the world and continue to believe that all things/people should live in harmony. The Iroquois believes that The Great Spirit would indirectly guide the lives of ordinary people and opposed that The Great Spirit and other forces of good were Evil Spirit and other lesser spirits responsible for disease and other misfortune. Corn, beans, and squash were referred to as the three sisters and thought of as deities or spiritual beings. The Iroquois believed that ordinary humans could not communicate directly with Great Spirit but could do so indirectly by burning tobacco, which carried their prayers to the lesser spirits ... The 2 creation stories from genesis 1 and 2 were written or orally passed down around 1445 BC. It is believed by many conservative scholars to the present day, that genesis was written by Moses. Both stories give insight into their different views of God as well as two different ways of interpreting the story. Comparing the two different versions of the creation story I am going to be analysing these two sacred texts with research from historical information. Doing this will let us recognise not only the similarities but the differences in these stories. These two creation stories fluctuate in genre and include different legendary features. The first genesis creation story has been written in a poetic form and has repetitive rhyming to propose that the story was meant to be sung. In Genesis one the recurrence of the phrases "and it was so" and "and god saw that it was good" indicate that the rhyme or song is coming to an end. The second Genesis story is written in a non – poetic form instead it is a narrative form. It does not have repetitious rhythm to it as well as it is written in ... The Great Spirit's vision was of a world of complexity, one where beginnings and ends, happiness and sorrow, and creation and destruction would simultaneously occur. It is impossible to fathom how one could rationalize creating something only for it to be transformed from its original status. However, the Great Spirit was performing that very task. He knew that the world he was creating would be filled with both good and evil, but he decided that his vision, even if it would become imperfect, would come to life. The next four paragraphs describe the Great Spirit's creation of the physical world. It is here that the story states the Great Spirit "created the...sun, stars, moon...and [on] earth [he] formed mountains, valleys, plains, islands, lakes, bays, and rivers" (Johnston). The Great Spirit's vision has begun to take form in the physical realm as described in these paragraphs. While these paragraphs describe the gifts that the Great Spirit gave to certain entities of the Earth, the most profound statement during this phase of the story can be found in the fifth paragraph. Upon finishing the creation of the physical world, the story simply states that, "Everything was in its place; everything was beautiful" (Johnston). While this line can seem easy to read over, its meaning is very significant. However, before people had access to modern scientific equipment, they told creations stories. A creation story is a myth that explains how and why the earth was made. A few cultures with differing opinions on creation are Europeans, Cherokee Indians, West Africans, and Hawaiians. Europeans tell the story of Genesis and God creating the earth in seven days and Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. Cherokee Indians believe that the earth was created by a water beetle. In West African culture, they teach the Golden Chain story, and Hawaiians have the Kumulipo story to explain their beliefs on creation. Although each story follows a basic guideline, they all have distinct disparities. Throughout the plot of these four creation stories, it is visible that each culture has varying beliefs on how land was developed. For example, Cherokee Indians conclude that land was created by a water beetle who sculpted soft mud, where as Hawaiians believe that land emerged from the slime in the ocean. Both Europeans and West Africans teach that a supreme being used his or her powers to form land. In Genesis, God was responsible for the land, whereas in the Golden Chain story, a creature called Obatala was deemed accountable for creating the land. • 57. The Creation Of Genesis : The Genesis Story Of Creation The Genesis account of creation is written with beautiful, almost lyrical, scripture. It begins with the first seven days of creation where God created the heavens and the Earth. He split the oceans and the land, as well as created all the many creatures on our planet. The message of the bible very much depends on interpretation, the wording was filled with rhythm. For example, at the end of each sentence in the beginning of chapter one, it has many phrase repeats but they sound lyrical. On day one, "God said" (Gen:1 vs.3) "it was good." (Gen:1 vs. 4). On day two, "God said" (Gen:1 vs.6) "it was so" (Gen:1 vs. 7). These phrases repeat and overall form a kindly written scripture. In Genesis one, God's official name is Elohim. He created the heavens and man. And made man rule over the created order of the Earth. Not only as the rulers but also as the care–takers, which hints at telling humans to protect the environment, as it is our job given by God Himself. Further on into Genesis, the story focuses more on Adam and Eve. God created Adam as a whole human being. Adam was split by God and the other equal half became Eve. The author of Genesis wants to stress the equality between man and woman. With Eve, Adam could have his other half to relationship with. The author's focus on equality between man and woman is one of the biggest take–aways from these accounts of creation. "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh" (Gen 2:23). He then creates animals in the same way he created the man and the man names all the animals (ESV Gen 2:7–20). In Death, and Life and Death, the god Alatangana consolidates the earth from mud, creates plants to cover the earth, and then creates animals to live on it ("Death, and Life and Death"). The creating power in Genesis 1 is referred to as "God" (ESV Gen 1:1–31; 2:1–3). What's interesting is that in Genesis 2, each time the creating power is referenced; he is referred to as "the Lord God" (ESV Gen. 2:4–25). • 63. Iroquois Creation Story Summary Here we have two stories, both depicting the creation of the world through similar ideas of storytelling. The differences in both cultures can be seen by simply looking at differences in the stories. I also think it would be smart if I pointed out that Iroquois was never written down as the Native American's did not have a written language, thus the story was open to change based on whoever was telling it. But both stories metaphors are easily understood and not vichyssoise or perplexing. Other than the obvious fact that these are both creation stories they do not have much in common. For instance, when the story begins in the Judeo–Christian tale, God creates everything and time begins. For the Iroquois is feels like time has already been going on for a while and its more of a creation story just revolving around the earth. You can infer that from the first sentence of each story. The Judeo–Christian opening line being,"In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" whereas the Iroquois starts," At the beginning of time when people came to be on earth." • 67. Comparing Two Creation Stories There are two different creation stories presented in the chapter of Genesis in the Old testament of the bible. In the first story God has all dominion and contains supernatural powers. In this creation story God is masculine and creates everything out of the void in seven days . God has six days of working and one day to rest. An impression is also given that everything God makes in this story is "all good". The second creation story explains how The Lord God created man , the Garden of Eden and the man with a womb. Man and woman are placed into the garden of Eden. The Lord God , Elohim Yahweh is a feminine noun. The Lord God then creates plants and made the vegetation produce. The Lord God creates man and animals as mans initial help meet, then the Lord God decides to create a man with a womb. Therefor the two creation stories have different names for God and different ways and order of creation. The audience is essentially being told the same story (the story of creation) but it is told from different angles. In the first story God is described as having all dominion , super powers and total dominance and he creates everything by speaking. However , in the second story God is seen as a worker because he preforms physical actions such as planting. The second story ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... How was man put on earth? Why and from what was he created? Who created him? What does his creation imply about the status of human beings? Some or all of these questions are answered by a religion's creation stories. Every religion's creation myths attempt to give solutions to problems present to that religious society. Because of this, each religion may have one or more creation stories, each of those different from one another in the questions they ask and the answers they give. Genesis In the Western world, the most well–known creation story is in Genesis (Myth A), in the Old Testament of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Also in this chapter, man alone was created first, then animals, and then woman – an ordering that goes against that of Genesis I. Also, instead of creating man and woman together, man was created first, from the "dust of the ground" after which God "breathed into his nostrils the breath of life." Then, while Adam was sleeping, God took from Adam one of his ribs and created Eve, or woman. Another difference between the "two" versions of Creation, more noticeable than the afore mentioned, is in their answer of why man was created. In Genesis I, man was created to rule over all the animals. In fact, a section of Genesis I:26 reads "and let [man] have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth." In contrast, Genesis II:5 claims that man was created because there was no one to "till the ground." The variation in each chapter's answer to why man was created provides differing implications for the status of mankind. In Genesis I, man is supposed to be the supreme ruler, while in Genesis II, man was created merely as a servant of the land. Western religions, when viewing the status of humans, tend to take the first interpretation as indication of man's role on earth, believing him to be superior to all other species. Ignoring the inconsistencies, these two chapters seem to complement each other quite well. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Aboriginal people believe in the dreamtime as there understanding of evolution. But due to advances in modern science has been able to give us answers to some of the big questions in life by giving us the facts, however the religious creation stories still play an important role in humankind as they give life purpose and meaning. I will be testing this thesis further by talking about the aboriginal cultural connection with their religion, a dreamtime story "the sun mother", science and its contribution to our understanding of the universe. Then I will undergo an ethnographic study on Brent Miller to get his view on science and religion. The Dreamtime ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The most common scientific explanation of how our universe came to be, is the Big Bang Theory. Around 13. 8 billion years ago there was no sign of anything apart from darkness. Until astronomer Edwin Hubble made a remarkable discovery about how the universe was created. Edwin Hubble hypothesised the matter and energy in the universe was initially condensed in a very small and infinitely hot mass. A huge explosion, known as the Big Bang, then sent matter and energy expanding in all directions (Howell, n.d.). As the universe expanded, matter collected into clouds that began to condense and rotate, forming the forerunners of galaxies. Changes in pressure caused gas and dust to form distinct clouds. If the mass of material in the cloud was sufficiently compressed, nuclear reactions began, and the sun and the stars were born (Sciences, n.d.). The creation story "the sun mother" explains why the universe was created, whereas this differs from the scientific explanation where it focusses more on how the universe was ... • 73. Creation Story The main point of creation story was about the Heavens and the Earth, it also covers how God made Adam, Eve and all other living creatures in the world. It also covers the relationship between God and Man and according to the book of Genesis Chapter 1 Verse 27, God actually created man in his own Image. What I understand is that Man was an Immortal until he ate out of the forbidden fruit. I think God gave Adam a free spirit to decide for himself what was morally right or wrong. The Creation story was quite intriguing and very confusing, according to the first verses in the book of Genesis, God first created the Heavens and the Earth, then created Adam and brought Eve to existence from Adam's rib. God even warned Adam that he would die the day he eats out of the forbidden fruit. I am quiet confused, what was the forbidden fruit all about? Why didn't Adam and Eve die as God promised? In my opinion, Adam and Eve would being an immortal but shortly after they had eaten the forbidden fruit they became mortal and was chased out of the garden of Eden. That is how sin came into this world. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Out of rage of jealousy, Cain slaughtered his brother and then hid him, when God asked Cain if Cain knew the where about of his brother Abel, Cain replied that he was not his brother's keeper. Cain became frightened that someone would find and kill him since God had placed a curse on him. If God created Adam and Eve, and the bible also confirmed that Adam had sons and daughters, one would think they were the only human on earth? And who was Cain referring to when he thought someone would find and kill him? I think Cain and Abel married their blood relation. In other words, they would have married their ... • 75. The Value Of A Creation Story Living in a world with an excessive amount of creation beliefs can become overwhelming in terms of what to truly believe. Although many creation stories have similarities, they also seem to have a few differences. There are many individuals who have grown up without a creation story and seem to question why others may be so passionate towards the beliefs within a creation story. As an individual coming from a Hispanic background I was introduced the creation story of Adam and Eve. Like most individuals, this creation story was told to me by many family members and simply grew up to embrace its teachings. Adam and Eve is a creation story involving the creation of man and woman who are then presented with a privilege of living in a wonderful garden. With this privilege given to them both Adam and eve were only given one simple rule to follow. Throughout the days temptation seemed difficult to push away and eventually both Adam and Eve disobeyed the only rule they had. Following this incident they encounter what is now known as punishment, and were both kicked out of the glorious garden to survive. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Understanding that Adam and Eve both disobeyed a simple rule lead to the loss of everything beautiful they were given. This is why I always think twice about my actions simply to avoid any punishment I may experience due to wrong choices. This value of punishment allows me to remind others that with any choice they make can result in something amazing or something unforgettable. Having this value of punishment reminds me that life can be glorious and beautiful however if falling into the wrong path, all that is beautiful will ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 77. Creationism : The Story Of Creation And The Creation Of God Thousands of years that have passed since the creation of man but, there is still controversy on how old the earth really is and how evolution has changed the planet over time. The story of creation is an important factor to Christianity because it sets the foundation of its Faith and what Christians believe in. There are many philosophers that have different points of view on how the earth and universe were created, but the problem with these beliefs is that none of them can prove how old the earth truly is. The question that individuals have and cannot seem to find an answer too is: Is the world is young or old and how can the question be answered? Old–Earth Secular View Creationists believe that the Old–Earth theology is based on the first book of the Bible: Genesis where God had created everything. From a secular point of view, Pierre–Simon Laplace is a good person to look to for this view since he was a French astronomer and mathematician and he developed the nebular hypothesis theory. His theory believed that the sun had expanded through the hot atmosphere and the volume of the Planetary System that would have formed 4.5 billion years ago and that the Sun and all the planets of our current Solar System all began as a giant molecular gas and dust cloud that later collapsed causing a shockwave supernova, somewhat of where the "Big Bang" theory comes from. This theory has impacted the scientific world in such a way that Dr. Ronald Numbers who is a science ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
