will be creating art almost every day. We will be using the flipped classroom for
our art history lessons. (this means you will have a video to watch for
homework) There is a $10.00 art supply fee that is due by the end of January.

ART 6 Syllabus
In ART 6 students will refine the skills acquired in earlier years of art through
the Elements of Art and Principles of Design. Students will have hours of studio
time to creative their own artwork inspired by what they see, know, feel and
imagine. Lessons will include the study of famous artists and art history, as
well as Art from different world cultures. They will also explore a variety of art
media. Each student will have an Art Journal where they will keep all of their
bellringers and sketches. Art 6 will offer discussion, observation and
production helping students to develop critical thinking skills as well as
creativity. Additional art lessons will support district goals by reinforcing
academic skills.
