ORLANDO– June 19, 2013 – Ira Silver, CPA, principal in the Tax and Accounting Department at

recently spoke at the Sailfish Chapter of the Florida Institute of CPAs (FICPA) in Fort Pierce, Fla.
Silver’s speech, titled ‘Fraud, Internal Controls & Forensic Accounting Techniques” took place on
June 5, 2013.
The FICPA focuses on programming to enhance members’ competency and professionalism;
supports standards of independence, integrity and objectivity that also are in the public interest;
promotes community involvement and monitors and actively participates in the public policy-
making process.

with litigation cases of bankruptcy, business valuation, contractual disputes, and fraud.
Silver holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Florida State University and is a member of
many professional organizations including the AICPA, FICPA, Association of Certified Fraud
Examiners and past president of the CPA Auto Dealers Consultants Association.
