How to make your bath more relaxing
1. How to Make Your Bath More Relaxing
For a lot of people, one of the best ways to unwind from a hectic day is to go home and take a
warm bath. Unfortunately for most, they aren’t able to do this as much as they would like due to
them not having the time. When you do have the time to take a bath, there are certain things
you can do that can help make it even more relaxing for you.
Candles
Candles can be a great way to help you relax. Turn off the overhead lighting, which can be way
too harsh, and light up a few candles. Aim for a calming scent like vanilla or fresh cotton - or no
scent at all! Just make sure that they aren’t close to the
water and that they won’t catch anything on fire - that
will surely make you more stressed.
Bring a Book
A book can help you escape your troubles and relax as
your body starts to prune. Don’t make it a school book
or a really literary work - instead, make it something that
doesn’t require a ton of your brainpower. Make sure that
it is a book you don’t care about, because we’ve all
dropped a book into the tub before.
Music
Music is another great way to calm down, even if you aren’t in the bathtub. Playing some gentle
music - like classical or acoustic - will help you drift and really get rejuvenated when you are in
the tub. A great item to help you with this would be a wireless, waterproof speaker that sticks to
the side.
Bath Bombs
You’ve seen the photos on Instagram of baths that are absolutely beautiful and look inviting.
Chances are, those tubs have a hidden gem just under the surface: bath bombs. Bath bombs
not only look pretty, but they smell good as well. Scent is one of the strongest senses we have
and can really help to calm us down. Throwing one into your tub will also condition your skin!
Bath Pillow
When you’re taking a bath, the worst thing in the world is the back of your neck digging into the
back of the tub. A neck pillow will cushion and protect you from any unnecessary pain. It also
ensures that you can stay in the tub until the water goes cold.
2. Next time you take a bath, take just a few extra minutes to pull together some items that will
really take it to the next level and help you relax even more.
