Jacky's Blackberry Crumble Recipe
1. Jacky’s Blackberry Crumble
You will need:
A large Bowl of Freshly Picked Blackberries (you can
buy from a shop if you like but picking them
yourself is what makes this very special)
Large Tablespoon of Sugar (for blackberries)
8oz/225g Self raising flour
4oz/115g Butter
4oz/115g Sugar
For the filling
Put blackberries in a large with a little water and a large tablespoon of sugar and heat up until soft
but not to a pulp.
Leave to rest
For the crumble
Cut butter into small cubes and in a mixing bowl mix with the Self Raising flour until the mixture
resembles breadcrumbs.
Stir in 4oz/115g sugar
To Cook
Pour the cooked blackberries into a large oven dish being careful not to pour too much liquid in.
Pour the crumble mixture over the blackberries.
Place in a low to medium heat over Gas mark 4 or 180 centrigrade for about 1 hour until golden
brown.
Serve with cream, custard or ice cream!
