21. Lake Trichonida is the biggest lake in
Greece and the locals depend on it,
both on environmental and economical
levels.
Its length is 97 km2 and its depth is
58m.
The lake is supplied with water from
underground sources and 15 torrents,
which come from the mountains around,
Panaitoliko and Arakinthos.
Many species of fish live in it. 350
tons are fished each year.
