7. Industry Lead Faculty
Carl E. Heltne, M.D., is a Physician Leadership College
alumnus, was the resident fellow for PLC cohort ten, and
has served as PLC Industry Lead Faculty since 2011.
Dr. Heltne was the Sr. Vice President and Chief Medical
Officer for Essentia Health in Duluth, MN. He has served
in a number of administrative and leadership roles during
his medical career, and taught as a clinical assistant
professor at the University of Minnesota – Duluth School
of Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Texas
Tech University School of Medicine and is a fellow or
member of several professional societies.
