Expository Essay on Dividing and Classifying
People Chewing with their Mouth Open
Despite being guided by the need to uphold high etiquette behaviors, some individuals
will find themselves doing things that are offensive to other people. It is commonly put that one
should not wash his or her dirty linen in public. Different people have different ways they can
use in perceiving others. For instance, some people will perceive a person on the basis of his or
her eating habit. It is widely known that people should practice proper table manners, and this
should extend to any other environmental setting where eating could be taking place.
Human beings will perceive in a bad way those who chew with their mouths wide open
and those who talk while eating. Those people who eat while their mouths are wide open are
violators of the moral and ethical norms. Some people who find themselves in this conflicting
situation seem not to care. However, in the real sense, everyone in this world cares about what
others think and would love to have a good image. In practice, there is nonexistence of the ā€˜donā€™t
careā€™ attitude, and the non-observance of what is considered to be etiquette behaviors creates a
wrong impression on how different people perceive their counterparts. Some people could argue
that eating with mouth wide open could be associated with some powers. However, individuals
eating with their mouth wide open are deemed unpleasant and such an attribute cannot be
associated with superiority since leaders are expected to be drivers and advocators of social and
moral norms.

Someone Else Taking My Last Piece of Food
The aspect of health is very vital to every person and proper eating is essential in meeting
this objective. People will use all possible means in order to have something to eat, especially
when hunger strikes. Because of an array of reasons some people are not able to afford meals and
are left to take the last piece of food left by their counterparts. Examples of reasons as to why
certain individuals are unable to ā€˜put something on the tableā€™ are the following: sickness, age
difference, plunging economic situations, and laziness.
It is very debilitating when people take leftovers by their colleagues. The dignity of the
individual taking the leftovers is compromised, and respect fades away. Other people may treat
such an individual with contempt and derision. Eventually, the person may suffer from
depression as a result of self-pity and low self-esteem. Some diseases can be passed from one
person to another by sharing plates, spoons, or through the watery bodily liquids such as the
saliva. It means that if someone takes a meal left by a person suffering from a disease that can be
transmitted via saliva contact, then he or she will contract the disease. Therefore, it implies that
the habit of feeding from leftovers is not only undignified but could also be a risk factor to the
life of an individual.
Slow Drivers
Whether conducting fast or slow driving, the primary aim is to arrive safely at the
destination. Slow drivers are perceived to be the ones who would like to observe every rule of
the roads and are afraid of being caught by the traffic police. Regardless of the nature of the
urgency, it is always important for any driver to observe all the governing rules concerning the
traffic. Over speeding is highly condemned as opposed to standard speed driving. However, slow
Surname 3
driving could merely imply moving at a speed that is far away under the recommended speed
limit.
Although slow driving could have extensive benefits, there are arrays of setbacks
attributed to it. This kind of driving could be totally annoying since all drivers behind will have
to drive at the speed of the car in front, especially in cases where one cannot overtake.
Eventually, slow drivers are in full control of the entire traffic speed. They end up wasting other
peopleā€™s time, which may implicate the activities of those affected. The slow driver is very likely
to annoy other drivers by wasting their time. From another perspective, the situation can be
understood as violating the traffic laws rather than respecting these rules. It is true that over
speeding is a risk to the life of the driver, of those inside the car, the pedestrians, and may also
destroy the properties belonging to other members of the society. However, it cannot be ruled out
that an over slow speed can also compromise the facet of time, which is paramount in every
aspect of life.
Drunk Drivers
Driving while drunk can be extremely dangerous whether the vehicle is moving at a low
or high speed. Different governments have continuously been trying to put in place appropriate
rules in order to totally eliminate the problem of drunk driving. Regardless of the measures taken
by the governments through the respective agencies, some drivers have been ignoring them,
hence violating the laws. Some drivers consider taking alcohol as a way of relieving their
complicated psychological conditions and perceive drunk driving as being fun.
Driving while drunk could be disgusting, annoying, and dangerous, especially
considering the risks associated with it. The driver does not only risk his or her life but the life of
other people as well. Some vehicles are used for public means and hence when such a vehicle
Surname 4
crashes in an accident, all the lives are put in stake. Whether a vehicle is used for personal or
public purposes, an accident may involve a pedestrian who may succumb to injuries or even lose
his or her life. In other words, drunk driving can lead to an increased number of accidents that
may be fatal in nature. Intoxicated drivers are under the influence of alcohol which controls
individualā€™s psychological conditions at the point in time. Such drivers have high probabilities of
violating traffic laws. Eventually, there is the rising of stalled court cases, which would
otherwise have been prevented if every driver observed and adhered to traffic laws.
Overdraft Fees
An overdraft is where a lending institution extends credit to their clients so that the
customers can benefit from financial loan even when the account is zero. The lending institutions
will charge a particular interest on the basis of the overdrawn amount and the duration that the
customer holds the overdrawn money before the repayment. The client may also be charged an
additional fee for using the service. To some extent, the overdraft facility provides solutions to
the financial burden, but the debilitating challenges associated with it cannot be ruled out.
The charges placed on the overdraft facility are the ones that could sometimes be
annoying. The fact that an individual is getting into an overdraft implies that he or she is in a
financial crisis. It implies that the additional fees besides the interest charges will be aggravating
the situation rather than making it better. It would be better and more acceptable if the interests
on overdraft were relative to those of the regular loans without necessarily putting extra charges.
Additionally, the aspect of overdraft fees can be complicated and confusing affair. The banks
benefit mostly from the overdraft plans, but the extended fees implicate the budgets of the
borrowers. Therefore, it is ironical that the plan is debilitating to the parties who are supposed to
Surname 5
be the primary beneficiaries. The issue can also largely affect the relationship existing between
the debtor and the creditor.
Late Payment Fees
Late payment fees are charged on debtors who fail to repay lent amount by the agreed
deadline. It is always recommended to repay the least minimum amount by the stipulated
deadline and as it may be agreed upon. However, due to certain reasons some people have
violated the agreement and, therefore, succumb to the problem of repaying the debt with some
additional fees.
Owing to the underlying situations, the lending institution may overstate the fees on late
payment and hence implicate a financial burden on the borrower. The fact that someone is unable
to repay the loan on time is a clear indicator of financial constraints. Late payment could be a
loss to the lending institution; but if the fees for late payment are overcharged, there is the
violation of the moral obligation by the lender. Additionally, late payment fees can destroy and
weaken the relationship between the lender and the borrower.
