As previously mentioned, Michel Barsoum investigation of the external and internal sections of the pyramid stones, with chemical and X–ray, found
that portions were made from concrete. This discovery has been gradually changing the view of groups of workers pushing huge stone blocks up
the sides of the pyramids. Since this pyramid theory does not work, there is a second theory. The second theory is based on Herodotus's machines.
Herodotus was a Greek historian who put forth the earliest found theory on how the pyramids were built. He visited Egypt around 450 B.C, when
the pyramids were 2,000 years old. Herodotus's machines are crane like devices made of wood called a shaduf to bring water from the Nile for
irrigation. However, this theory is just as unlikely as the first because there would have had to have been hundreds of these cranes spaced on the
pyramid at different levels. A second flaw is the amount of wood needed to create these cranes. Egypt did not have unlimited access to wood. The
