1. HOW TO MAKE
FETTUCINE ALFREDO
The healthiest dish imaginable.
2. STEP ONE
Ingredients:
1 clove garlic, minced
8 oz fettucine
2 TBSP butter
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 TBSP fresh chopped flat-leaf parsley
½ cup parmesan cheese
1 tsp ground black pepper
3. STEP 2
Bring 5 quarts of water to boil.
Add pasta and a pinch of salt.
Boil approximately 11 minutes,
until el dente.
Pour into a colander to drain.
4. STEP 3
In a 3 quart saucepan, melt butter over medium
–high heat.
Saute garlic until just fragrant, about 2 minutes.
Add heavy whipping cream and bring to a boil.
Heat on a low boil for about 5 minutes.
Reduce heat to low and add parmesan cheese.
Stir well, then pour alfredo sauce over pasta.
Enjoy!
5. OPTIONAL ADD-INS
• Grill a chicken breast and slice into strips
• Boil 1 cup Broccoli or ½ cup frozen peas
with the pasta during the last 5 minutes of
cooking
• Toast ½ cup hazelnuts or walnuts
• Add 6oz Gorgonola and reduce parmesan
to ½ cup, butter to 1 TBSP
