Qualities Of A Good Mentor
Having achieved success in the oil and gas
industry as an international tax
professional, Marcela Kane has come to
understand the important roles that
mentorship and sponsorship have played,
both in her own successes and in the work
she now does as the Senior Manager of
International Tax for Halliburton. In order
to act as a mentor, you must have expertise
in your field that you are willing and able
to pass on to other people. If you are
unable to demonstrate enthusiasm for what
you do and your work with the people that
you mentor, you are going to find it much
more difficult to inspire confidence in
others. Marcela Kane notes that the best
mentors are constantly observing.
