Introduction
UL offers INTRINSICALLY SAFE (IS) Prefab Cable
Solutions for MTL 4500 series Barriers backplane in
wide range of preferences in connectors, cable
specifications and lengths to accommodate project
requirements worldwide.
Choice of using Prefabricated Cable concept brings
benefit to overall schedule and cabinet construction cost.
It simplifies inter-cabinet wiring philosophy, improve
cabinet manufacturing time. Parallel manufacturing for
system and marshalling cabinets becomes a reality, to
adapt modularity in project schedule. Pre-fab cables can
be directly shipped at FAT / IFAT/ SAT site location.
These pre-fab cables are a one-to-one connection cable,
have an IOTA mating connector at one end, other end can
be either a connector mating with a RTP / FTA or have
flying leads. UL’s Plug-in Connection technology used for
mating with IOTA connector provides a safe, firm
connection and ease of handling.
