Schools, free time and food in the vasque country lander

2. The Basque Country is in the north of Spain. There are 3 provinces in it:
Alava, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa.
3. In the basque country most of the schools start the new course the 9th of september
until the 21rst of June. Between that months are also more holiday days.
In most of the Basque country schools begin school lessons at 8:30 or 9:00 and then
finish at 15:30 or 16:30 more or less. Students in the basque country study english,
basque and spanish . Some also study french and german.
4. In the basque country we have 3 big holiday times : christmas,on winter. Easter, on
spring and summer.
Some people, take advance of the free time by doing sports like football and
basketball. Surf is also very famous in the basque country because they are a lot of
beautiful beaches. Other people also take advantage of free time playing computer
games or going out with friends.
5. The basque country is very popular because it's delicious food . In most of the pubs, there are
snacks all over the bar call “ Pintxos”. Now I am going to speak about some basque dishes:
ALUBIAS DE TOLOSA: Alubias de Tolosa is type of stew made from black beans from Tolosa
cooked with onions, olive oil and salt.
MARMITAKO: Marmitako is a type of Basque fish stew and it’s made with tuna, potatoes, onions,
garlic and red peppers.
MERLUZA EN SALSA VERDE: this traditional dish is a seafood lover’s dream. The sauce is made
from white wine, parsley garlic and olive oil, while clams are also typically added.
