2. Bongo drum
The bongo is a membranophone instrument made up of a set of two slightly
conical wooden bodies, one smaller than the other, joined by a wooden ribbon.
Their upper mouths -the larger diameter ones- are covered by hairless leather that
is tightened with a metal ring through metal keys.
3. ALEXANDER ABREU MANRESA
In the month of June in our traditional "salsa of the month" section we present a
Cuban musician considered by critics today as one of the best trumpet players of
the moment in Cuba and probably in the whole world; he is Alexander Abreu
Manresa, born on September 6, 1976 in Cienfuegos.
